Totally adequate place to stay while skiing!

  • 4 of 5

--Location from 80 is great and makes it easier to get to from the Bay Area since it's before Truckee.

--A bit cheaper than a lot of the nearby places.

--Smaller than other places, which can sleep up to 16 and seems totally unnecessary. This place is a great size for a family of 4-6.

--Good communication from management company.

--Great Internet connection/speed.

--Charged extra for sheets. We were glad we brought our own, though, because the comforters seemed a bit dingy/dirty.

--I would have loved some shoe shoes or extra snow toys to use. Don't know what specifically, but little perks like that are what I like to find during a rental. The snowball maker was broken upon arrival.

--As shown in the pictures, the decor and kitchen not the most modern or updated. Definitely not fancy.

Very lovely cabin nice bedroom arrangement with upstairs for "older" adults! Like the wood ceiling

  • 4 of 5

This was a VERY high snow year, about 20 ft? around cabin, so cannot say about surroundings. Gkids had a blast making snowballs w your snowball maker, and climbing up the snow hills. Porch a bit steep but thanks for clearing snow. We forgot our Yak-Track Grippers for boots to prevent slipping so might want to provide some. Kitchen well equipped, thanks! Things perhaps needed: Upstairs sink drain is slow, lightbulb in upstairs bedrooms out, we couldn't figure out how to use wood stove, where to turn on motor? Couldn't find dustpan. Saw you had 2 other "floor" beds in closet, could we invite more kids next time? All in all a very nice cabin to stay in

Family Fun!

  • 5 of 5

What a fun weekend in the snow we had. This house was perfect for our family stay. It was a shorter drive than going all the way to lake Tahoe and less traffic. The house was cozy and warm and big enough for us all to have room to spread out. It has beautiful views of snow covered trees and we played right outside building snowmen and having snowball fights. We will go back again next year.

Very comfortable and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay during a week of considerable snowfall. Lots of shoveling the deck and stairs to get our car out of the snow. Used all the available firewood due to the cold and because of the inclement weather and high use, we did not get a requested delivery of more. Cabin was cozy, very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary equipment to cook anything one would want. No TV reception, so recommend bringing movies to watch and a flash drive with your favorite music to plug into it since there is no radio reception. Good wireless internet service. Overall, a very pleasant visit for us. Only disturbance was the occasional rumble of snow sliding down the roof. Description on VRBO is accurate.

Poma Lane exactly as advertised, great!

  • 4 of 5

The Poma Lane house was an excellent choice for us. Only minutes to my son and his family and so close to skiing and the cute town of Truckee. The house was immaculate, lovely clean bathrooms, floors, linens. Plenty of pots, pans, etc. The absolute only drawback for us was that there was no TV access. Would have enjoyed watching the Super Bowl in the coziness of the great living room with a fire going. I'm sure that was posted in the listing, just wasn't paying attention. We would definitely consider Poma Lane for a return visit.
