Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)
Thank you for your interest in our cottage in the heart of Sonoma Valley. We are sure you have followed the destruction of the Wine Country fires. Fortunately, Sonoma town and most of the valley floor have been spared, thanks to the fire fighters' great work. November rains brought a cover of green grass over much of the blackened hills. Sonoma Valley is beautiful, up and running and ready to have guests return. In fact, we need you to get the economy rolling again.
If you decide to come, then our charming, comfortable 550 square foot space will make you happy. It is fully furnished with a separate bedroom and a full bath, a complete kitchen and living room. There is a lovely attached deck for your morning coffee. Turn a corner and you're in one of wine country's most amazing gardens.
Bedroom features a queen size bed with dressers and an armoire for plenty of clothes storage. The kitchen is equipped with plates, glasses, knives, pots and pans, a coffee maker and microwave.
Centrally located with plenty of space, this cottage has all the amenities of home, and if you are visiting during harvest you might have the opportunity to make wine with one of Sonoma's most famous winemakers.

About lance cutler
My wife and I have lived in Sonoma for more than 30 years. For most of that time I was a working winemaker and my wife ran a tasting room. We love cooking, eating, and the wine country lifestyle in general. Our home is renowned throughout the industry as a mecca for hospitality.
lance cutler purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why lance cutler chose Agua Caliente
We fell in love with Sonoma during a visit in 1976. By 1977 we had moved here and the next year I began a career in the wine business. After renting a small cottage for 23 years, my wife and I decided to build our own home. We built the main house and the rental unit in 2001. My wife has planted and maintains a stunning garden on the property. In short, this is a great spot in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country that we have built with our own hands.
What makes this Cottage unique
First off the property sits in a real, rustic neighborhood. It's not screened off by metal fences and high walls. Just blocks from the Sonoma Mission Inn, several restaurants and five burrito wagons, you'll be centrally located to start your exploration of Wine Country.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is perfect for a couple; nice size and quiet. The garden it sits in is amazing. There were lots of blooming flowers and plants. It was nice to sit there and have a glass of wine with the friendly hosts, Lance and Sandy. Short drive to the square in Sonoma with lots of restaurants and tasting rooms. The neighborhood is also good for running with sidewalks along Hwy 12. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
This cottage was exactly what we needed after spending a day in San Fran and the a couple days hiking up at the redwoods. TLDR: will stay here again if in the area.
Pros: Just the location and the owner will make me come back.
The location of this cottage was just perfect in my opinion, not busy or loud but close to nice restaurants and close to stores. It almost has a big town feel with a small town charm. The cottage was just tucked away nicely off one of the main (I use this term loosely) roads in Sonoma. There is a convenient store right across the street and is within walking distance to a near nighttime food truck.
The owner is a very wonderful guy. My only regret was not taking up his offer for a glass of wine with him and his wife. Lance is very nice, and has that great storytelling characteristic about him. He had put together this great binder for his guest about the area. We read his review of each place to eat (he provides a list of restaurants and paragraph long explanation of his experience at each restaurants, and there was a lot of them) and tried the places he recommended in the binder. You would be a missing out great local vibes if you do don't the same (try the food truck).
The guest house was comfortable. The bed was comfy, the shower was very nice, and has a full Kitchen with coffee, drinks (such as water and a small variety of soda) in the fridge for you. There is also a stove and cookware, we just didn't use them because of the binder Lance put together. There is also a coach, cable tv and wifi.
Cons: These are really minor. It didn't bother us at all.
Wifi does not extend into the bedroom. Did not affect our stay at all.
I was worried I might break the red couch. I was careful to not "flop" myself onto the couch, although my wife thought I was being ridiculous.
And personal preference is that nice cable TV should be enjoyed in the nice comfy bed.
Would stay here again!
Perfect Sonoma Cottage
My husband and I recently spent 3 days in this lovely Sonoma cottage. While not in Sonoma, it was close enough that a drive into town for dinner did not take long. And it was so wonderful to return here after a day of wine tasting and sightseeing. The cottage is comfortable, has a very well equipped kitchen, a gorgeous bathroom with a huge shower and a comfortable bedroom. We enjoyed the flower and vegetable garden and talking to our host about wine making (he was making pinot noir while we were there). I cooked breakfasts and a couple of dinners (after a stop at the Whole Foods in town). We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to Sonoma.
Very convenient for the Sonoma wedding we attended.
The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Ideal place to explore Sonoma
This cottage is five star in every respect. Location, amenities, cleanliness are excellent. Lance is a great host, helpful in every way, as well as a wine connoisseur. If you like using HomeAway you can do no better then this!
