Owner / Property Manager purchased this cabin in 2006
This cabin was very clean and nice. I got good responses from the owner when questions came up. I would recommend this cabin.
We all had a wonderful time. Accommodations where great. 1st time that I didn't need to take sharp knives or pans for cooking. The grand kids had great time in the game room...my favorite was watching them having a good time and the great view of the mountains.
We have stayed in numerous cabins over the past 11 years, and this one was one of the best. What impressed us were the added touches. Normally you have a starter of toilet paper, paper towels, etc., but this cabin had extra supplies. They even had a spice rack! Never have seen that before! We made our usual stop at Kroger off of Wears Valley and we bought the salt and pepper set and a bag of ice (usually there's not enough ice in the freezer), but we didn't need those either. Our view was great and even though the cabin was higher up, it was not too high. No scary road to navigate (we've had at least two of those -- never again). The owners have a four-bedroom across the road, and our experience was so good, we plan to get friends together to rent that one in the future. Very clean and comfortable, a great experience overall.
Cabin was more then expected. Beautiful views and very clean. The hot water did go out but they were right on it. Thanks so much and we definitely will be back.
The cabin has everything that you could want! We loved that everything was clearly labeled and there were clear directions for using everything in the cabin. We very much appreciated the foil and plastic wrap as well. (as many times we forget) It comes in handy when trying to heat up leftovers. There were so many extra touches that you don't get in other cabins. Spice rack, liquid soap, popcorn, etc.Very smooth rental process as well. I loved being able to skip the check-in process and go directly to the cabin.
We had a very nice stay in Cubbie's Cabin. The two bedrooms and attached bathrooms were lovely and comfortable for two couples. We had our two kids sleep on the sleeper sofa in the loft. They were happy, but it was a little awkward that there was no bathroom upstairs, and in fact, they had to come into one of the bedrooms to access a bathroom as there are none in the common spaces. The game loft was amazing! The kids could not get enough of the pool table, and also had fun with the air hockey, foosball, and arcade. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to cook in while enjoying family time. I loved how open it was to the rest of the house. We cooked, baked, and grilled and the house had all of the amenities on hand that we needed to do so. We were a little disappointed by the Jacuzzi/hot tub situation-- the indoor one had very little power from the jets, and the outdoor one took what felt like FOREVER to heat up (the sign said 30 minutes, but it was more like 3 hours). The view from the balcony was gorgeous and the rocking Adirondack chair was a great place to have some coffee and enjoy the view. Overall, we had a great time in the cabin and definitely made memories we will have for a lifetime.
