Hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, kayaking, canoeing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and hiking are some ideas of how to spend your time in this six bedroom, 3 level lodge.
There are sleeping accomodations for up to 18 guest, the property is ideal for family reunions, or the gathering of several couples.
Recently rented this home with a group of 15. Everything went perfectly. I dealt with Bonnie, who was prompt with her communications. We were shocked at how gorgeous the house is. It had more than enough space. Bonnie called to check-in once over the weekend just to make sure we were doing okay. We had a pleasant conversation and that was all. Rooms were clean, carpets were clean. Everything seemed to work in the home. All in all a very pleasant experience.
The seclusion of the house also made it very cozy. There were no other houses near this one, and the views looked right across the lake.
There really were no complaints. My group looks forward to renting again either over the summer or this winter.
I recently visited the lodge for the second time back in February, expecting yet another wonderful visit. Yet, I was extremely disappointed. The lodge itself was as beautiful as ever, and we were overjoyed as soon as we walked in. That is, until our very troubling inconveniences began.
There was no heat upstairs, the water was rarely hot, there were multiple men in the lodge working when we arrived. We were not informed that anyone would be there, and were extremely surprised. Not only that, once we confronted the property manager, she lied and said that we were not only advised that people would be there when we arrived, but that we had given our consent. This could not be furthest from the truth, and I just don't understand why such a story would be fabricated (excluding the obvious reason: the property manager could not own up to their mistake).
We decided to overlook this. However, we were in for another surprise. A number of individuals in my company were supposed to be working remotely on projects at our respective jobs, and we'd assured our companies that we'd be able to work remotely once arriving at the lodge. However, there was no internet service, and ultimately, nothing was done to fix this. We simply endured not being able to complete various projects, to our collective detriment.
Not to mention, none of the TVs were working either, and we had to figure that out ourselves.
Because we loved the property, we continued to overlook such obvious inconveniences. Upon leaving the property, we received a very disconcerting email from the property manager calling us names and detailing that she did not feel bad about our Wi-Fi or TV troubles we endured. If that is not a lack of professionalism, I do not know what is.
We also just received our security deposit 7 weeks after we returned from the vacation. The envelope was lost in the mail, torn and weathered, and there were several scratch outs and incorrect zip codes written all over the mail item when I provided my correct address on three separate occasions (including the signed agreement).
I am completely flabbergasted by such poor service and unfortunately, I will not be returning. It is a shame because this is such a great property. I suggest that the owners take a deeper look into the property management processes, and the new cleaning staff's reporting. This did not need to happen this way.
Rented this amazing location for an 18-person ski trip. The experience could not have been more joyful. The lodge was absolutely perfect - extremely spacious, clean, spotless, gorgeously decorated. There is an elegance to this lodge, and it is also both warm and cozy. Not only would I recommend this trip to any and everyone...I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. In fact, I've already booked the lodge again for our second ski trip for February 2015!
The place was great! Everyone had a blast. The weather was a little rainy so it brought the flys and knats which was a downer. It was great that the house had the game room and beautiful views to take your mind off the bad weather. The walk down to the Lk was a little rough because it had rained so much. It was a little muddy and we couldnt see the the sand at first but, when we did find it, we had a great time. Steve helped us out with whatever we needed. Anytime I called him he was there or called me back shortly.
We visited this property for a second year in a row for President's Day weekend. The description on the website is extremely accurate. All the appliances are new and in perfect condition. The kitchen and the dining accommodations were perfect for our group of 18. The kids had their own space to eat and socialize and the adults enjoyed the dining room without interruptions.
The basement had enough to keep the kids busy while it also had space for them to run around. The bunk bedroom also provided enough space for sleep and "entertainment" for the kids.
The bedrooms on the second floor are beautiful. Extremely comfortable mattresses for a good rest after a day of skiing "the face". Each bedroom has a theme and is unique and tastefully done. The bathrooms are in great condition and again tastefully done.
There is a an office with board games and TV on the first floor and also another set of a beautiful bedroom and a bath.
When selecting a property for our ski vacation we look for style, comfort and convenience. This house has it all. It is only about 20 min to the base of White Face mountain. The location of the house is perfect. It is surrounded by beautiful woods and is on Fern lake, which for a second year in row provided us with an unforgettable experience- walking on the ice with flashlights at night ( the kids thought this to be the highlight of the stay).
Booking the house was extremely easy. The property contact person was extremely helpful and accommodating. It was a pleasure dealing with him.
We will definitely consider this property next year and have already recommended it to all of our friends and family.
Merci !
