Property is a recently renovated 2 bedroom plus den flat in Telegraph Hill/North Beach area. It's located at a quiet cul-de-sac on top of the Vallejo Steps and is just 1.5 blocks away from North Beach where all the wonderful cafes and restaurants are located. It's a 15-minute walk to downtown financial district and a 10-minute walk to Coit Tower. It's a 10-minute bus ride or a 20-minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf, and the same to Union Square. Chinatown is just 3 blocks away. The location could not be any better!
Keyless entrance to the property!
Our downstairs neighbor, Dennis, is the 'Mayor' of the Vallejo Steps. He and his dog, Abby, will be able to assist you with any questions you may have. The cul-de-sac in front of our building has great view of downtown SF Financial District, water and the Bay Bridge and it always attracts tourists and locals to this special spot. There is also a wonderful and well maintained garden along the Vallejo Steps. The famous Telegraph Hill parrots visit our apartment around 3-4pm in the afternoon every day. You won't miss them because you will hear them first!
Now here is a brief description of our apartment:
The bedroom has a Queen bed and dark drapes. It's very quiet so it will allow you a good night sleep after a fun day exploring San Francisco!
The living room and the 2nd bedroom have great views of the downtown Financial District. The 2nd bedroom has a Full sized bed.
The den has a new Full sized futon that can comfortably accommodate 2 people. It sleeps 6 but we generally limit to 4.
The bathroom has a rain shower head that will provide you a great showering experience and wash your tiredness away!
The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook gourmet meals if you are not in the mood to explore all the wonderful restaurants that North Beach has to offer. We love our brand new LG fridge and gas range. We hope you will enjoy your cooking experience in our kitchen. New TV in Kitchen so you can cook and watch FoodTV. Bonus!
The apartment has a brand new LG washer and dryer that are fantastic and easy to operate. We love these well built machines! If you don't feel like doing the laundry yourself, there are wash and fold services just 1.5 blocks away on Grant Ave.
We hope you will enjoy your stay at our apartment and leave your heart in San Francisco and come back again soon!
Michelle is from Taiwan and works in Commercial Insurance in downtown SF.
Tommy is from Colorado and works in Technology in Soma.
We have two Labrador Retrievers (who do not live on the property) and feel very fortunate to be living in San Francisco!
We travel to Asia a couple times a year and try to spend time with my family in Colorado and Arizona.

You cannot beat the location. If you are in SF for a short or long stay, you will be perfectly positioned for most of what's great about our amazing city. While our flat is not luxurious, its very cute, bright and clean and will suit your needs from relaxing to entertaining a few guests, etc. its equipped with brand new appliances, top of the line LG fridge and washer/dryer.
We keep all our personal stuff locked away so you will not feel as if you are living in someone else's life.
Quiet dead end street, Telegraph Hill Parrots, Dennis (the 'Mayor) our downstairs neighbor and his dog Abby are a fountain of local knowledge. He can always be found puttering around out front.
We hate most hotels and SFO hotels available seemed to be right in Fisherman's wharf (way to touristy) or in the business district (too busy). This location was perfect. Close enough to walk to everything, quiet and authentic. The neighborhood has many good restaurants, cafes and shops. I could not imagine a better location to discover the city.
Tommy was very easy to deal with, responsive and helpful. The apt itself had everything needed for our family of 4 adults (good size, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, new laundry facilities, small outside area (with frequent visits from the neighborhood flock of parrots), TV & wifi). Pictures and description are accurate.
Would definitely rent it again!
I stayed here with a friend of mine for an entire week while attending a scientific conference. The apartment is quite nice and comfortable, it's located in a very quiet and residential area, although just around the corner from lots of good restaurants, cafes, and bars on North Beach. The owner, Tommy, is a great guy and very responsive. For instance, he came right away when we had troubles with the security code the first day (we had simply forgotten to press *), and took care of an electrical issue very promptly. This is a great and affordable place for families or small groups of friends. One can have about 6 people sleeping very comfortably if you use the sofa-bed in the living room. I will certainly consider this apartment in the future when I'm back in SF.
We rented this property for a family Thanksgiving get together. It was outstanding. First, you can't beat the location. The top of the Vallejo Steps is about as quintessential San Francisco as you can get. Fabulous views. The access to North Beach restaurants and night life was perfect. And surprisingly, no problem with parking. The property itself is really exceptional. A lot of space, tastefully furnished. The best part for us was the cozy and still spacious kitchen. We cooked and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, really couldn't have been any better. Tommy (the proprietor) was available but unobtrusive. We loved this place, and have no complaints. If your thinking about renting it, please don't plan on Thanksgiving. We want to make staying there an annual event.
North Beach is renowned for its Italian flair. Great food, lots of local lore and characters.
