About Adam Jacobstein

I live in San Francisco, California, and love to visit the Big Island when I can. This home was built by my brother, also the manager of the property for his family in 2007.

Adam Jacobstein purchased this house in 2007

Why Adam Jacobstein chose Volcano

Hale Apapane was built by Adam Jacobstein, the owner's brother, and was his family's home for 6 years before they moved off of Hawaii Island. It has been very carefully designed to take advantage of the surrounding landscape, with large windows, and enough room for a big group to feel together in the open living space, but still have separate areas upstairs. The furniture is all high quality and it was decorated with a purpose in mind.

What makes this house unique

The house is large and open inside. It has special artwork from local artists and photographers. It hace hot tub, a swing in the yard, and a large covered carport for playing basketball or hanging out.

Comfortable and clean for family visit!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a wonderful cozy Thanksgiving weekend in this lovely home. We live on the warmer west side of the Big Island and Enjoy the cooler, more seasonal weather of Volcano for the holidays. With plenty of dry wood for the wood stove and a clean, well maintained hot tub, the house was a great place to stay for the cold, rainy weekend. The kitchen had the basics one needs for casual cooking and my granddaughter loved the swing in the backyard. Hikes and the National park were only a few miles away so plenty do in the area. We will definitely consider this home agsin for our annual Thanksgiving Volcano holiday!

This is a great house to enjoy your vacation on the Big Island.

  • 5 of 5

Well equipped house. Nicely decorated. Great location. Good place to make your base location for exploring. After your adventures - Escape to the rainforest for a nap in the afternoon. In the cool evenings, relax and read by the great wood stove, after a soak in the hot tub under the stars. Hosts were friendly and accommodating.

The owners made sure we had everything we needed, and the location was prefect for us to go on our daily adventures.

We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to other guests!

WOW.... Perfect location... Perfect Home.... Perfect Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

This home is one truly worth booking. Great peaceful location, very close to everything including the volcano for night viewing, restaurants and cafes for eating, visiting Hilo and so much more. The fruit bowl was very warmly accepted by my kids and the beds were extremely comfortable. We loved the spa and the washing machine and dryer was put to good use. Would definitely recommend to anyone lucky enough to be visiting the area to stay in this wonderful home. Service and emails from the owners were the cherry on top.
