***On 15 August 2014 travel specialists at Andrew Harper selected Korovesi Villa as the only property in the South Pacific to be listed on Luxury Rentals by Homeaway***
Korovesi Villa (3 meals daily included as of Sep 2014) is situated on eight manicured acres enjoying majestic panoramic views of Savusavu bay. It is located only 10 minutes from Savusavu airport and just down the road from the famous Cousteau Resort, and is the perfect location for a luxurious South Pacific experience. The estate was designed by award winning Australian architect Madeleine Blanchfield, and no expense has been spared in ensuring guests are accommodated in style. The villa is ideal for a large family reunion, a group of friends, or even a couple that wants a small 'resort' to themselves. The villa is comprised of seven separate buildings on two levels. The kitchen, living area, spacious master bedroom and infinity pool comprise the upper level while the lower level (connected by a 30m pathway) houses four ‘bures’ (two with queen beds and two with triple bunks, enabling the villa to comfortably sleep six adults and six kids). There are two beautiful formal eating areas, one indoor and one outdoor, each with expansive views of the bay and the lush green mountains beyond. The open-concept kitchen is designed with a separate food preparation area, and there is the choice to have food cooked in a conventional oven, large wood-fired pizza oven, gas bbq, or Webber bbq. It is very well equipped with two dishwashers, two fridges, as well as expansive cupboard and counter space. There is a traditional lovu pit (Fijian earthen oven) at the rear of the house which also has a spit bbq and a separate outdoor dining area set in lush surrounds. The lower level bures are organized in sets of two with each set comprising two rooms. Each set has has a queen bed in one room, and is connected to a second room with three king single bunk beds via a shared bathroom. The rooms all enjoy stunning views of the bay and each boasts a private deck and hammock. A separate massage 'bure' is located amidst the branches of an enormous rain tree. The boat shed is located at the water level and houses mountain bikes, kayaks, snorkeling equipment and golf clubs, all of which are all included for use during your stay. There is also the option to hire to hire our boat (a 23 ft skiff) which can be used for fishing, diving and water sports. There is a playing field with stunning views to the rear of the villa where guests can enjoy volleyball, basketball, footy etc, and there are activities to wear down the most energetic of kids (trampoline, flying fox, rope swings etc. etc). The five friendly staff will ensure you are well looked after during your stay. They will cook, clean and do everything to ensure you have a truly relaxing holiday experience.

We purchased the property after falling in love with the planet's friendliest locals, who reside in one of the worlds most beautiful locations. The awesome fishing in the Savusavu bay area helped clinch the deal! We then spent two years building our dream home
The amazing panoramic views over Savusavu bay and the worlds most exquisite sunsets
Korovesi is a beautiful robust house in a stunning setting. Plenty of space for everyone to have a bit of down time and also to get together. The grounds are huge and plenty of things to explore and do. The house is also really well equipped with things such as games videos and books, also kayaks, snorkels and fishing gear. We spent a lot of time in the pool and around the table. Also renting the boat gave us heaps of opportunity to fish and snorkel - well worth having this service.
Mahesh and Monica, plus their team of helpers are outstanding hosts - unobtrusive but fantastic facilitators, anything is possible with Mahesh in charge. The food was consistently good and so nice not having to think about meals. The lovu night was a lot of fun for those of us who have not had much to do with Fijian culture - a great experience for the kids.
We enjoyed some superb diving at Namena Island and the JM Cousteau dive shop at the resort down the road ran good trips and were very helpful.
All in all a dream holiday - can't recommend this place highly enough.
The friendly welcome we experienced by the staff at Korovesi was a sign of a wonderful holiday to come.In Fiji for a special birthday celebration, we ( 8 adults and 2 small children) were continually surprised and delighted by the outstanding friendliness and excellent service throughout our stay. With Mahesh and Monica, we discussed the meal and activities plan for the week.Anything could be changed according to desire/convenience.The food was in a word " amazing"with Monica using only the best of local fresh ingredients, and even the fish that we caught during our stay.Monica was prepared to pretty well cook whatever we desired. The villa has the most superb outlook, and is totally designed for a relaxing experience.Daily activities were varied, hiring the boat is a must.As there is no beach as such, Jack took us out to outer picturesque reefs, where we could snorkel, swim, fish and on one occasion raced with a huge school of dolphins.A trip to a local Fijian village, and waterfall were also highlights. These activities incurred a reasonable cost, which is paid at the end of the holiday? The birthday celebration was treated in a very special manner, with the villa decorated, a traditional "Lovo" meal, and local singers and dancers to help make it a night of beautiful memories for everyone.Monica even made a huge birthday cake! The birthday boy felt like a "King" for the night.Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Our 2 small children (2 & 4) were just loved by everyone- even when they were making a mess!!
I cannot recommend this holiday at Korovesi Villa highly enough. It is a superb location, run in an impeccable, friendly and welcoming manner. We were all sad to leave, and look forward to our next holiday there.Thank you!
A little paradise. Very much a case of under promised and over delivered - the suprises just kept coming. Beautiful setting, excellently maintained, unsurpassed views and lovely staff. Perfect for family get togethers or groups of friends. Fishing is superb - definitely hire the boat for the week. Lots of activities eg tubing, snorkelling, visits to nearby islands for picnics, fishing. Layout of the house and villas ensures everyone has space. Best family holiday - ever!
From breathtaking views from the plane,we travelled over the hills and far away to a hidden paradise. From lush green fields on one side to the ocean on the other. From the moment of arrival, BULA . . Welcome to Korovesi Villa! It was the greeting that struck a chord with all in the family. From the deck are spectacular views of the ocean in all her glory. It is known that the best way to soak up the new surroundings is to ask a local … the Villa staff here are nothing short of AMAZING! Service orientated elements at the Villa were excellent! There was an extensive range of land-based & ocean activities available and not to mention the interaction with the local township – exposure to the culture /tradition was most evident when the wonderful staff organized a lovo night, kava ceremony and a highlight ... the Diwali Festival of Lights! I have taken home with me the warmth and hospitality of the AMAZING staff at Korovesi Villa, their love of life and their Bula smiles! I cannot recommend this stunning villa and staff more highly ... ( Mahesh, Monica, Sovaki, Jack, Vika, Use & Nora)! Thankyou for making this holiday a birthday my sister and family will never forget!
We arranged to have my extended family stay at Korovesi Villa for my 50th birthday. there was 10 of us from 10yrs old to 86yrs old. The property itself was more then we could have expected, comfortable and luxurious. The manager, his family and staff that looked after us and provided all our catering and needs went beyond what we thought was possible, and made our holiday very unique. The catering for us was outstanding and service impeccable. The night of my birthday a Fijian Feast was arranged with a pig on the spit and freshly caught fish done in the lovo pit and many other fijian dishes to accompany this. The staff surprised me with the most beautiful decorations, cake, and we had a kava ceremony and the bulla band, a very wonderful evening for all. We were fortunate to be there when "the festival of lights' is celebrated, and enjoyed a day of cooking speciality Indian cuisine, dressing in traditional dress and watching endless fireworks through out the night, and very thankful to the staff for this experience. We booked the boat for our week and our fishing experiences, daily, were wonderful and the variety of fish caught endless, and cooked in a variety of ways to perfection. The trip to Shy Guy beach was a wonderful day. Each day we had numerous choices from snorkelling, tubing. fishing, shopping, flying fox, walking or just relaxing and enjoying the pool, we achieved doing all and loving each day and the variety. We have travelled to Fiji before and have never had such an amazing holiday in our own resort and no crowds. Korovesi Villa is a piece of paradise with beautiful staff and truly outstanding. The owner Gavin was a pleasure to deal with and we look forward to coming back in 2015.
We visited Korovisi with 12 family members on a return trip back to the USA after spending time in Australia. The place is awesome. We booked the two boats and used them extensively for trips to Shy Guy Beach and the trip to a local village to see and swim in a waterfall. We did a few snorkeling and tubing trips as well. I am an avid fisherman and spent most mornings out on the 25' Blackwatch catching lunch and dinner. We caught mahi mahi, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, trevally and walu which is Fijis version of the king mackerel. Renting the boats really opened up the water activities for us. The family really enjoyed hanging around the infinity pool and soaking up the Fijian sunshine. The staff was very attentive and cooked many great meals for us all. We took Gavin's recommendation and hired a Bula band and did the lovo pit one night which was a real treat. I would highly recommend this beautiful villa for anyone wanting to get away from the resort crowd and spread out over 8 manicured acres. This place is everything the pictures represent and more.
The area has beautiful weather all year round and is a paradise for fishing, snorkelling and diving. While Savusavu is situated on a bay there are some pristine private beaches in the middle of the bay (accessible by boat).
