Great getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

This place is fantastic! Bill and Darcy were great to work with, and the property is better than it describes. I could go on and on, but then the place would get so busy, we might not be able to book it again!! For anyone who loves the outdoors, peace and quiet, and R&R, then this is the place for you.

Quiet, Comfortable and Felt Very Welcomed!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. A little piece of Heaven that we would love to come back to. Bill let us have our privacy but was still there when we needed him. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Loved the fact that there was no cell service so we actually had to have "conversations" with each other - and we had the best time doing it too around the campfire. Bill is a very laid-back and easy person to rent from and I highly recommend people stay at his property when visiting Wisconsin (and I heard that he may possibly have wifi soon if that is something you really need). If I could give 10 stars on this property, I would in a heartbeat. :) **********

Sweet and cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Bill for letting us enjoy your beautiful, clean and well-maintained cabin. It was short stay, but we visited White Mound County Park, Natural Bridge State Park and Devil's Lake State Park. So, it was an amazingly nice stay.

Your little dogies, Trixie and Rowdy, became our friends. We miss them.

It was a pleasure to have a deal with you and Darcy. Thank you, so much!

Amazing Accomodations

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here as we prepared for our daughter’s wedding in Spring Green.

We felt like it was a home away from home and we were all very comfortable with the rustic décor and beautiful wood work.

Nestled right in the heart of some of Wisconsin’s most amazing scenic views.

Bill and Darcy were very accommodating and made us feel welcome and at home.

Great folks!

Spectacular experience with nature!

  • 5 of 5

This was truly a spectacular experience with nature. The grounds have been designed to provide a haven for wildlife. The wide variety of flowers displayed in numerous gardens drew butterflies, dragonflies, and many many birds. We watched two hummingbirds fly back and forth each evening to one feeder and numerous other birds feed at another. There was also a beautiful Lilly pond and a trail leading to a small stream.

The accommodations were spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Bill was generous to leave a dozen fresh eggs for us as well. We would definitely return to this sanctuary.

Spring Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place to relax, and loved this place from moment one! Bill is friendly and we loved the farm fresh eggs he provided. My husband and I don't get a chance to eat breakfast together very often so it was a real treat to enjoy the tasty eggs together!

The cabin was clean, and was well equipped. We typically go out to eat when on vacation, but throughly enjoyed grilling and cooking at the site. The rooms are nicely decorated with many pretty wildlife art pieces to be enjoyed. We loved the bird feeder right outside our living room window. We had cardinals, finches, woodpeckers, ect to entertain us each morning.

Loved not having cell / internet service on site because it really allowed us to unplug and just enjoy God's beauty.

Definitely have The Outdoor Inn marked as a favorite! Thanks Bill!

The wetlands at Bear Valley Outdoor Inn are alive with the mating calls of the Sand-hill Cranes in the spring! We are located in the heart of beautiful Bear Valley and the confluence of five scenic drainage's. 750 acres of public land lay to the south. The remaining boundaries are surrounded by a privately owned wildlife refuge.

We are centrally located within a half hour of some of the most popular attractions of Southwest WI as well as some unique and tranquil settings within minutes.

Some of the activities that can be enjoyed from our front door are hunting, fishing, biking, motorcycling, snowmobiling, bird and wildlife watching, or just relaxing around one of our camp fires.

Also popular is the quality trout fishing available within walking distance. Trout fishing continues to get better as Bear Creek is currently under a stream bank improvement and trout habitat project.

The Outdoor Inn is popular with deer and turkey hunters as we offer a game cleaning facility including a hoist and walk in cooler.

Bill is a lifetime resident of the area, and as a bird and wildlife enthusiast, he can acquaint you with the numerous activities you might wish to enjoy.

To provide peace and serenity to our wildlife, we are a DRONE FREE ZONE.

We are a short drive from American Players Theatre, Governor Dodge State Park, Oakwood Fruit Farm, Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor’s Center, The Springs Golf Resort, Natural Bridge State Park, Our Lady of the Fields Chapel, Taliesin, Plain Westbrook Hills Golf Course, White Mound Park, Rockbridge, Hillside School, Tower Hill State Park, Hyde Mill, Unity Chapel, House on the Rock, Cedar Grove Cheese Co, Wisconsin Dells, and many other interesting tourist attractions.
