You will never forget your stay on board a houseboat in Fells Point. It's a truly unique experience.
Unlike any other rental in the area, you can experience what it is like to live aboard a boat in Baltimore Harbor on board one of our SleepAfloat floating home rentals.
Staying aboard Draco was a great way to experience Baltimore. The boat is just as advertised, but I would highlight the premiere location. Everything I needed was just a short walk away; bars, groceries, a walk down the pier, and restaurants (Fork and Wrench provided one of the better meals I have had the pleasure of enjoying). The marina is safe and secure, as well as the ample parking just yards away from the boat. The comfortable bed and slight motion of the water allowed me excellent rest at night. I would strongly recommend Sleepafloat to anyone considering lodging in the Baltimore area.
The Draco was clean and had several ammenities such as a Keurig, Direct TV and a Bose audio player. Beds were comfy and the views were lovely.
We put the full sized kitchen and clean propane grill to good use as we packed groceries, spices, paper goods and all that we needed to prepare our own meals. We were able to cook full breakfasts and a proper Sunday dinner which we enjoyed on the upper deck. During our 3 day stay, we never left the dock. We didn't have to!
The year round "neighbors" were all exceeding friendly and although the dock is situated smack dab in the middle of upscale Downtown Baltimor with easy access to all of the city attractions, we felt totally disconnected from the world and were able to relax in complete peace.
We plan to make our Draco getaway an annual tradition!
We really enjoyed our weekend stay on Draco! The location of the marina is very convenient, and the boat was very nice. Donovan did a great job explaining everything to us, and was very accommodating. We especially loved the rooftop seating area where we enjoyed a cocktail each night. Thank you Draco!
Draco was rented for younger guests to have a different experience. The boat in general is pretty old and not as comfortable as described. It is definitely not for 5 people--we were only three and it was tight. It is better suited for two people. There were no blankets and since we got in very late the first night, we froze. We had to use the clothes from our suitcase as covers to warm up. Donovan was quick to bring blankets as soon as we requested them the next day. The area is really nice and it was a pleasant experience but it is definitely for the open-minded adventurous type--not for someone looking for the comfort of an aparment/hotel room. It was a nice experience and would recommend it but would advise on what to expect.
My husband and I stayed in the Draco for a quick weekend in Baltimore. Loved the location! We ran on the waterfront in the mornings and could walk to dinner and around town easily. Took the water taxi to the inner harbor for a ballgame one afternoon. The boat was just as described and had everything we needed. Donavan was very helpful at check-in and answered all of our questions. The boat was a the perfect way to make our first trip to Baltimore more interesting and we would definitely stay there again.
We had a great experience staying on the Interlude in Fells Point! We were in Baltimore for baseball games and thoroughly enjoyed taking the water taxis back and forth from the marina to Harborplace. The weather was great and it was so nice to sit outside at night and watch the boats come in and out and feel the cool breeze off the water.
All the questions we had were answered quickly and completely. The yacht was well appointed and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
