Yet it is located on a beautiful quiet street that has no public transportation on it..just a line of beautiful green trees.
Gordon beach...2 minutes walk...: The combination of crashing waves, ringing cellphones and perky pop music combine to make this a lively night-time spot. Mix with the locals and enjoy a bottle of wine or cool sliced watermelon at this beach-side restaurant. While pop music blasts, flip-flop clad or barefoot waiters will help you as you sit comfortably on low beach chairs stuck in the sand. A mostly casual, young crowd munches on typical Israeli fare here: bagel-toasts (like a grilled cheese sandwich), kebabs, burgers, salads and cold-fruit shakes.
Central Tel Aviv...The location....: *Rabin Square. The biggest public square in Israel is located by the footsteps of the city hall. This square hosts many public demonstrations and events with thousands of participators. The peace support demonstration in 1995 was held here and that's where PM Itzhak Rabin was assassinated. A memorial in his memory is located the the north-east corner of the square.
* Dizengoff Square. An Elevated square on top of which there is a big fountain with a mix of fire and water. This is one of the known symbols of Tel Aviv.
*Tel-Aviv Museum of Art, 27 Shaul Hamelech Blvd.
The main municipal art museum for Tel Aviv focuses on modern and contemporary art. Check for the changing exhibitions and you might find real gems. The children's wing is great fun and not just for kids. The museum also hosts chamber music and Jazz performances on occasions. In the museum's courtyard you will find the municipal library, with book with books in Hebrew, English and other languages,
Ben Gurion Ave....Its is there!!!: Ben Gurion is located at the north of the city, it starts close to Rabin Square and from there it goes on up until the beach, passing through Avenue cafe’s as Cafesito and Espresso bar Dizengoff.
The Hottest spot on Ben-Gurion is on the corner of Dizengoff where there a few places to check out:
* Espresso Bar -- A very central view on the street. Heavily populated by people who many to look at other people and vice versa.
* Gotcha -- Cheap Seafood and a great view on the street.
* Bar Gurion -- Sandwiches right on the Avenue.
* Tamara Juice -- Any juice you could think of in the world in a a small and great looking venue Juice Bar!
Just after the very heavy packed corner of Dizengoff comes the Corner of Ben-Yehuda street, a popular street for the French Tourists. On this corner, there is a nice cafe/bar called the Booshcafe filled with Tel-Aviv locals.
A great time to walk on Ben Gurion and check out these places is on Fridays at noon when it’s packed of people.
Our stay at Inbar's place was fantastic.
The pictures barely do the view justice. The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and modern.
The kitchen had everything we need to cook, the sound system was excellent, and honestly, the linens and towels were better than my own (not ashamed to admit!!!)
The hosts were excellent at communicating not only the basics of how to get there and get comfortable but also gave us a lot of "local knowledge" about the the city of Tel Aviv.
A dream trip to help us unwind and decompress. We strongly encourage you to give them a visit.
