A private house in the French countryside where walks through the woodlands can part of your daily routine is what you can expect to find here. Although quietly tucked away behind trees and landscaped grounds, this house the Dordogne is still just a few minutes drive from town.

A terrace is furnished with a barbecue and a table with chairs. There is a private swimming pool (9m x 4.5m) surrounded by a sun deck. Also available is table tennis, a badminton set, and a boules pitch. Parking is available within the grounds.

The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, microwave, and dishwasher as well as another table with chairs. There is also a bathroom with a sink, shower, and separate toilet room and a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
First Floor: A staircase leads up to four bedrooms. The first and second bedrooms each have a 180 cm king-sized bed, the third bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and the fourth bedroom has two 90 cm single beds. There is one bathroom on this floor with a sink, shower, and separate toilet room.
Overall, we had a fabulous experience. The house and property were even more beautiful and spacious than advertised. The home was well equipped with linens, etc. We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience.
The lovely terraced grounds and gorgeous views.
Many of the bedroom windows did not have screens and had to be kept closed at night. Otherwise, no complaints.
The surrounding area was beautiful. Lovely views, picturesque chateaux everywhere we turned, lots of interesting things to do nearby but very few tourists, and an abundant supply of great food and wine!
Nearby Events or Locales:
The nearest small town, Plazac, was really just a tiny village. It was about 5 minutes (driving) from the house. One could walk, but we did not as there were no sidewalks and we had a couple of small children along on the trip.
We used the GPS coordinates provided to map out our journey. The last bit was tricky; it would have been helpful to have a few landmarks to help guide us. We found the right road through the process of elimination.
The property is located three kilometers from the village of Plazac where there is a boulangerie, café, restaurant, post office, and Romano-Gallic church. Rouffignac is just five kilometers away and here you will find a Sunday market and a larger selection of shops and restaurants. Of course you’ll also want to take a day trip or two to Sarlat. Sarlat is known for its buildings dating back to medieval and renaissance times that are still so beautifully kept that you'll feel like you're in a different era. There are also cinemas, theaters, and discotheques for entertainment as well as an annual music festival in the summer and an arts festival in the fall. Notable towns that would make for fun day trips include Les Eyzies and Lascaux, famous prehistoric caves, and Perigeux.
