Easy access to everything.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The villa is in Montecatini Terme and it isn't within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Coffee is always a good thing to bring. However, the local supermarket has just about everything one needs. A good restaurant is a short walk up the hill from the villa.
So as not to spend a lot of time trying to find the property, we called the owner of the property and met him at the train station. GPS does not work getting you to the property.
Check In Out:
No. Everything about the whole experience was great.
We had a great week. Stefano is a gracious host.
The view and the veranda/patio by the pool. Also the grounds of the property were neat to walk around in.
Montecatini Terme was an excellent little town.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Montecatini Terme. Could be if you don't mind a long walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Go to the restaurant that Stefano suggests...the one that is probably 800 meters from the house.
That's a good question. Key is probably to get people to that point right before you have to drive up the narrow road to the property. Definitely get there before night.
Check In Out:
No, Stefano was great.
This villa is located one and a half kilometers away from one of the European spa capitals, Montecatini Terme. Montecatini Terme is located at the foot of the Pistoia Mountains and began building its first spa center in the year 1733. Elegant, peaceful, and relaxing, Montecatini Terme now has nine spas available for services and this is in addition to the nice selection of restaurants, cafes, and markets that are in town. Nearby are a golf course, tennis courts, and soccer stadium. Almost every night is some type of live event in the city, ranging from art shows to musical performances. Lucca, which is located 25 kilometers away, is worth enjoying for its medieval charm and there are also a number of interesting sights to visit. The Duomo di San Martino and the Church of San Michele in Foro are both gorgeous examples of period architecture, while the Casa di Puccini, where the composer was born, has been transformed into a small museum in his honor. You can also climb the 130 foot Torre Guinigi, but on the other hand, viewing the tree-topped tower from below might be just as enjoyable and a lot less work! There is a train station in both Montecatini Terme and Lucca in which you can easily and quickly travel to Florence or Pisa for the day should you not feel like driving. San Gimignano: 100 km Pisa: 60 km Florence: 55 km Lucca: 25 km Montecatini Terme: 1.5 km
