It was a great stay yhe hotel isnawesone, great location. There were alot of mosquitoes in the room so bring repellant, also ac is fixed at 72 and the hair dryer doesnt work. Other than that the place is great!
GREAT Room - Very well equipped, quiet, clean. Tourist tips here.
Gilles is a pleasure to deal with. The room itself is as good as it gets for a place to make a meal, shower and SLEEP. The bed is GREAT! I'm a 6'5" 220lb guy that has had two back surgeries and the bed was super comfortable. There is a nice fan over the bed as well, a nice touch. The other highlight was the bathroom and shower. Shower had great water pressure, good hot water and was spacious. The kitchen was also good. The refrigerator may quite possibly be the nicest one on the entire island. Supplies available to cook with were "good", certainly adequate enough for my cooking skills - could have been a few more things like a BOTTLE opener! We left one behind as a thank you to Gilles, although it was Roatan branded, wouldn't be surprised if it walked away.
The room itself is near the back of the property which lends itself to being rather quiet. There was some construction during our stay on the elevator as well as the adjacent property but it never interfered with our stay. I liked being on the second floor a lot. Thankfully I never heard anyone above us the entire stay.
There are only two negatives that I can think of. The balcony is the one that's "recessed" in, so there really isn't a view of anything other than a dirt lot and the side of a building. Not a big deal, I didn't come to Roatan to sit on a patio but if you want a view this room isn't ideal.
TAX - be aware of the extremely high tax if not included in the listing you're looking at. Also be aware of the cleaning fee. I was so excited to find this "deal" that I overlooked the fact that it would be an additional $260 USD on check in. To be candid, there were some other rooms that had those fees included that were probably better locations in IB. That said, I'd get this exact same room again when I return. I came to dive, explore and relax on the beach and the bottom line is I slept great every night and that's worth more to me than anything when I'm playing hard and diving 3-4 times a day.
Some tourist tips:
We have friends that live on the island. First thing we did was ditch the wrist bands (keep em in your pocket). Anybody sees you with an infinity bay wristband, UPCHARGE SUCKER!!! Especially once you get outside the resort and over to west end, which you should absolutely do! The water taxi's are easy and convenient.
Top Tip: Go see Missy - UPSTAIRS at Sundowners, hands down best place to drink. Buffalo chicken wings with an Imperial... you're welcome. Tip her well.
Best of the Carribean
My friend and I loved everything about our stay at Infinity Bay and the unit we stay in specifically. As 2 senior citizens, we have been to many beach locales and resorts over the years with our family and extended families and friends. We both agreed that Infinity Bay has everything for all generations and is the best we have ever experienced! Fantastic diving and snorkeling right off the beach! Incredible food, especially breakfast! 5 stars for cleanliness! No bugs! I could go on and on. In addition, early on medical attention was required. A doctor arrived within the hour of our first picking up the phone and calling the desk.
The unit itself was perfectly situated in bldg 19 towards the back or front of the resort depending on how you viewed it. Quiet..away from the noise of the beach bar at night, and a short walk from the West Bay Mall along the road.
Love love love it!!!
We three adults stayed one week in this spacious 2nd floor condo. The bedroom area has LOTS of storage, the mattress must be new, and we appreciated being close to the front desk area and dive shop. Thanks for making this another great week in sunny Roatan!
Infinity Bay 2019
Wonderful two weeks stay. Lots of great snorkeling including at night a couple of times seeing octopus, lobsters, pufferfish, lionfish and flounders. Great day renting a car and going to the Sloth Sanctuary and the Iguana sanctuary. Those are definitely must dos! Also a great day at West End.
Very nice 1 bedroom condo, all the amenities a person could want.
This is a nice condo in a top notch facility. Infinity Bay is well maintained, has a nice pool, lots of amenities. The price is also reasonable. Tourist tax is expensive, but it would be the same anywhere on the island. The internet is a little slow and occasionally off, so if staying connected is important to you, don't go to Roatan.
