My home that I rent on VRBO is my personal residence and reflects a well kept bachelor pad with a very comfortable and simple layout.
Views off of the small deck are beautiful and dramatic of the entire downtown city skyline. Amenities include
high definition TV'S throughout the apartment that have Netflix, NFL-MLB and NBA packages.
Washer & dryer, dell desktop, and a private parking spot along with a full fridge of refreshments, extremely comfortable beds in both rooms and hardwood floors throughout.
Only one kitty in the house and his name is Big Guy and he is very affectionate and social.
If cats are not your thing then my home probably is not for you.
In a nutshell, My home is in a wonderful neighborhood with just about everything you could want only a block or two away. ( whole foods, Starbucks, 10 different fabulous restaurants all within walking distance)
When guest are staying at my home, I'm usually a text away to help with a variety of things that tourist request .
I'm a small business owner who has two residences in San Francisco. I have a 6 year old daughter and spend alot of time traveling throughout the year. My apartment reflects a well kept bachelor pad in the best neighborhood in all of San Francisco. I'm one block away from 18th Street which has coffee shops, restaurant etc. 3- min from downtown
5 min from bay bridge- 13 min from airport- and 3 blocks away from whole foods and other retail stores
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008
I've grown up in San Francisco all my life and have several real estate investments through my partnership with my father.
It has it all for the traveler, guest etc.
great location, great views, great neighborhood, and a very reasonable price for someone who would prefer a house with all of the ammenties rather than hotel that you have to pay through the nose for everything. Parking is key and I have it for the guest.
My family booked with Scott for our spring break trip. We arrived and found the place to be very dirty. After we swept the floors, washed the bed sheets, cleaned up where the cat had thrown up and covered the furniture with sheets (yes, it was that bad) we decided to make the best of it. It was a long night. The street was noisy and my daughter's room had a hole in the window. The next morning when we went to get a shower, there were no washcloths and my text to Scott went unanswered.
My daughter immediately had an allergic reaction when we arrived to either the cat or the dust but after suffering through the first night, we knew she couldn't make it the whole week. I called Scott and told him we had to leave and we moved to a Holiday Inn. He offered his mothers house to us, but we didn't want to take a chance. Scott apologized and agreed to refund part of our money.
I have contacted Scott a few times to ask about a refund but I have yet to see any returned. He, of course, is under no obligation to refund anything but it seemed like the right thing to do considering the circumstances. He did offer a free stay at either his place or his mothers if we returned.
Overall, other than the problem with this property, we had a great trip to San Francisco once my daughter started feeling better.
I would caution anyone staying at this place. My experience was nowhere near the experience of the other reviews on this site. If I had to do it over, I would just stay at Fisherman's Wharf. You can branch out and see the whole city from there either by Uber, cable car or bus.
I can't write enough good things about this place, the location is great and so close to some fantastic amenitites.
Scott couldnt be a better host, he has some great advice on touring the city!! His home is your home during your stay, Big cat is such a sweet heart and so easy to care for while your there. I would reccommend this place to anyone visiting the bay area! In fact this is the only place will stay! Till next time!! Your Canadian Honeymooners & Crashers!
We have just stayed here and had a amazing time so close to everything. Scott was a great host and couldn't do enough for us. The apartment is spacious and has great views of downtown. Had all the amenities you would need for a great holidays. Scott encourages you to view this as your home from home. Big Guy was such a friendly cat didn't want to leave him behind. Would recommend this place to everyone.
We loved our stay in this house because it felt like home, very comfortable. The view of downtown is fantastic! The neighborhood is great (close to Whole Foods). The dedicated parking space is nice. We left the car parked because using the buses was convenient with several lines going right by. The house isn't fancy, but completely comfortable, like a very pleasant place to live. The cat, Big Guy, was instantly friendly. My daughter did not want leave him! One thing that was exceptional about renting this home was the generosity of Scott, who seemed genuinely happy to share his food and drinks. What a great host!
My son, daughter and I spent six unforgettable nights here. Scott's hospitality made us felt so welcome, the warm and fuzzy feelings started even before we arrived. We were surprised and pampered by his thoughtful and personal touch, such as specialty drinks, snacks, breakfast cereal, milk, variety of fruits, fresh flowers, and most of all, his two lovable cats, Big Guy and Little Guy, whom we fell in love with immediately. Scott was always there when we needed him, he even came by to refill the water and take out trash for us on Father's Day!
All of us spent much more time staying in than going out because of them! Another reason we chose to stay in is that we all love those two cozy couches, all of us have fallen asleep in either/both at least once.
On our day of departure, we found it very difficult to say goodbye to Big Guy who's always there to welcome us "home" and curl up next to us when we watched TV or napped in the couch. If I must express my feelings for the stay with one sentence, I would say, "I left my heart in San Francisco!"
There was a very special arrangement Scott made for us which definitely made our vacation more precious and memorable...a tour of the Animal Control Center where many small animals were rescued, cared and adopted. Scott's mother Toni is a very loving, caring and devoted lady, she has rescued thousands of kittens over the years, and has volunteered to take care of all the cats/kittens there. We were so lucky to meet her, whom I consider a saint, and were given a tour by her. Toni's endless, unconditional love and devotion inspire me to do more, give more and love more. We are very fortunate to meet this loving and caring mother-and-son team.
There was another precious gift Scott had for us: his adorable daughter Sophia's cute dances and special messages, which were recorded just for us. We viewed those recordings over and over again during and after our trip.
We cannot thank Scott enough for making our stay so special and memorable, we can't wait to go back again and again. Just like Scott said, "When you stay in my home, you are my family." Thank you, Scott, for adopting us, we will see you and your wonderful, loving and caring family very soon!
The place was nice and clean, we spend a nice holiday there. Cats were wonderful, at least it was the world's most lovely gray cat was always greeted us and loved the people. the parking was good for a large car. good location in a quiet residential area and the bus stop was close by. scott is a caring guests, drinks in the refrigerator flowers on tables and everything else really well.
