|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
My husband booked this apartment for us on a whim and it was our first time stay in a furnished apartment. We had a great experience and the apartment had everything we needed, including a coffee maker. We've already booked this again for a long weekend in September for our 25th wedding anniversary.
The apartment was very clean and larger than most New York City hotel rooms. Our greeter Anthony was very nice and helpful. The view is stunning overlooking lower Manhattan.
Our trip to NYC was for a four day getaway for me and my husband. I spent numerous hours trying to find the perfect spot. We decided on the Alfie suite due to the description of it's location and price. I loved the pictures and booked immediately, without reading reviews first (completely my fault). After booking I realized that the location of the apartment is not available to you until the day you arrive. I was very skeptical as I have never encountered this before and it was NOT good for my "plan ahead” personality.
We contacted Anthony once we arrived in NYC and he informed us of the address and that he would be able to check us in early, which was a pleasant surprise. He was friendly and willing to explain things. I was thankful that the apartment was actually a real place. He informed us that a deposit would be put on our charge card as a hold and would be returned after check out. After check out, a portion of the deposit was charged to our card. I have no clue why it was charged and we never heard from Anthony again despite several attempts to contact him and the company. I had to get the credit card company involved. There are also other reviews complaining of the abrupt cut off of communication after the stay is over.
The apartment was in a very nice building with a small deli/store that is open 24/7. The store was very convenient and had great food. The apartment was right across the street from the HighLine (which is a must). There was lots of construction in the area and the subway was not close enough for my liking. I love Chelsea, but the location was not as convenient as I would have liked and I had I known the address ahead of time, I could have chose a better fit for me.
The apartment was pretty much as pictured. It was not as fresh and new as the pictures which I kind of expected. I was dissatisfied with the cleanliness and condition of the apartment, it just was not taken care of. The tub was clogged and water pooled up when showering. We sent an email to Anthony and it was fixed in a timely manner. The washer/dryer broke twice and was also fixed fairly soon.
The apartment was not the worst place to stay by a long shot, but the customer service or lack of, the "secret" location and the lack of cleanliness were bad enough to write a FAIR review. Please take all things into consideration when choosing this property.
We recently stayed here for 2-weeks and fell in love with Chelsea! The room was very clean and the roof terrace had great views of the NYC. It was also close to some great restuarants and, conventiently, a few blocks form the subway. It was also a great added benefit to have the Highline right outside the front door.

Such a cool place to stay! Beautiful new building, great staff, and stunning views of the Highline and Chelsea. Looking forward to staying here on our next visit to New York:)
