The beautiful property is full of amazing greenery and tall Cedars, which can be enjoyed from the hot tub on the back deck. The full width front deck is equipped with a gas BBQ for grilling. When the cooler temperatures hit, the view can still be enjoyed from the living room with floor to ceiling windows. The floor plan is wide open with plenty of room for the whole family. The wood work inside is warm and inviting, as is the wood burning fireplace (We provide the wood!).The large entry way has storage for skiis and winter gear. Also downstairs, are the two Full bedrooms and one of the two bathrooms. The full bedroom, full bathroom, and twin bunk beds are upstairs, with a comfortable seating area and new flat screen TV with DVD player.
After a long day of hiking, skiing, or any of the other many activities Mt. Baker has to offer, come back to the Chalet and relax, play board games or darts. It is a great place for the whole family. Snowline is a private gated community that borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and is one of the closest communities to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. This small gated community allows guests to use the outdoor heated swimming pool (in summer), tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, horse shoes, playfield, and childrens playground. Children also get to go fishing in the community stocked trout pond. Along with numerous trails throughout the community, you have direct access to the Nooksack River that borders a portion of Snowline Community Property.
The Cleaning Fee for this House is $85
Ski Season and Summer Season have 3 night minimums.
Wet and powdery weekend filled with good times as our kids competed in the IFSA freeride comp. The chalet was perfect for 3 adults and 5 kids....plenty of space. Thankfully there is a fireplace to help dry out the ski stuff so that the dryer didn't breakdown drying out all the gear on its own. Handy location....well equipped kitchen, better than many we have stayed in. We would stay here again for sure. Check it out.
The house was very clean, and well stocked. There is no tv/cable, but they have a good selection of games, books, and a dart board. (bring your own darts) All of the directions to get there/in were concise and easy to understand. The location was great-close to hiking trails, and only about 17 miles to the ski area. No snow this time, but the trip to the falls, then the top of the mountain was well worth the ride.
If you are looking for a place to just hide out for a bit, this is it. One caution would be to do your grocery shopping before you get there. There are a few little places for groceries, but it is costly.
Chair 9 is in walking distance, and has pretty good pizza. It's a great place to have a few drinks, listen to music, and watch snowboard/ski videos. The staff was very nice.
We enjoyed our stay at Fern Lodge. The house was comfortable and spacious, and had exactly what we expected. The log fireplace kept us warm and comfortable; and we enjoyed playing games and using the hot tub. It was nice to get away, but it is important to know that there is no cell coverage, so if it is important to be reached you will need to give out the land line number or use the wi-fi at the community room.
The only thing missing was a 'welcome' book explaining how to let visitors into the community gate, as we arrived in seperate cars and it would have been nice to know that you can let other cars into the gate remotely. Instead we spend a long time parked at the gate in order to meet the rest of the family, until the community security guy helped us out.
