Sit by the large picture window and watch the activities in the Upper Harbour

This fully furnished, self-catering apartment has everything you need to be the perfect, completely independent traveler.

The City Harbourside Suite is located overlooking Victoria's busy Upper Harbour Area, where there's always something going on. It's great for watching tugboats come and go, sailboats, rowing boats, kayakers and canoeists, as they play on the sheltered waters.

Inside you'll find a great galley kitchen with stove/oven/fridge/microwave/dishwasher so you can cook-up those quick snacks or gourmet meals any time you want.

There's also a stacking, in-suite washer and dryer + and iron and ironing board so you can maintain your wardrobe and stay sparkling clean and pressed at all times.

Great views of a working harbour

Right at your doorstep is a Harbour Ferry Stop and a seasonal Water Taxi service that will quickly sail you to the Inner Harbour or, anywhere else around the harbour you may want to go, such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Point Ellice House, the reversing falls on the Gorge Waterway or the West Bay Marina.

Next-door is The Canoe Club that has it's own Micro Brewery and make some very tasty ales. In the summer you can dine on their waterfront terrace, enjoying the afternoon sun while sipping on your favourite beverage or enjoying a delicious meal from their menu.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, head over to the Canoe Club for the best live music in town, it's a whole lot of fun and it's just a stones throw away. (Don't worry about disturbing your sleep patterns, they close down at midnight, have noise level rules.)

So 'go with the flow' and enjoy the ambience and the fun.

Head one block up the street and you’re in Canada’s oldest Chinatown, where you’ll find many unique shops and restaurants. Explore the “secret” alleyways, like Fan Tan Alley and Dragon Alley or shop for Asian curios and foods or locally-grown and imported produce.

Just around the corner is Victoria’s historic Old Town area, where you can visit Market Square to browse the shops or enjoy a musical concert. This is also the location of the “Lo Jo Fashion Area” the home of many locally-owned and operated boutique fashion emporiums.

A few minutes away you'll find all kinds of things to do; such as whale watching adventures, deep sea fishing, walking and cycling trails, beaches, gardens and parks, historic buildings, walking and bus tours, wineries and vineyards, organic farms, forests to take your breath away and mountains you can climb to see incredible views.

Harbour side suite Victoria

Location is perfect with the city core just a short walk. I stayed for 2 1/2 week. Even more perfect for a bachelor a pub cross the street. To much beer in the evening up for a nap go down for a late evening beer PERFECT. Apartment well equip for everything you need for cooking not for me but for those who like that. Pub noise no problem you are so polite in Canada that you go home 11 a clock in the night not like my home country Norway where you stay out to 3 a clock in the morning. Rod and Melissa are great host. Its not if but when i will arrive back to Victoria and this apartment.

Had a Wonderful Tim

  • 5 of 5

Immaculately clean and right downtown - was close to everything. We really appreciated having the fully equipped kitchen, saved a lot on restaurants and was easy to use. Trish and Steve were great, so helpful and accommodating and helpful - dropped us off for the bus - couldn't have been better.

Perfect setup - we will be back.

Great apartment ,excellent hosts

  • 5 of 5

Having booked from UK we were impressed by the promptness of replies to our queries from the host. Very comprehensive directions were supplied and we were met on time at the address by Steve and Sue. The apartment was excellent and proved to be very comfortable and well equipped for our week's stay. There was fruit, tea, coffee Milk cleaning materials already supplied thus avoiding the need for a shopping trip. Our impression of our hosts were that they were considerate, non intrusive and most helpful when asked. The apartment has a great location being a stroll from downtown and having ready access to roads out of Victoria. We had a memorable stay and would commend the rental without hesitation

Hated to leave - can't wait to return

  • 5 of 5

This rental exceeded our expectations. It was perfect and bigger than

advertised as a studio. The picture windows and Juliet balcony provided

memorable sceneries from dawn til dusk.

Our wonderful host and hostess, Steve and Trish, went above and beyond to

ensure we had the best accomodations during our stay -- they even went out of their way to pick us up at the bus station after so many erratic changes in our schedule. What a relief it was for us to have such a warm welcome and assistance with our luggages especially after a 4-hr ferry/bus commute from

Vancouver to Victoria.

The rental has a plethora of information for activities. Our favorites

included: Butchart and Butterfly Gardens, the Hippo Bus, Parliament and

Empress (free), Beacon Hill Park...we took a 3-day rendezvous to Seattle, WA

via the Clipper...and the list activities (that don't require a personal

car) goes on and on.

There are also lots of restaurants to eat nearby (including the Canoe Club

across the street, which had wonderful live music playing from Thursday to

Saturday night. Some days were great for lazing inside - full kitchen

provides alternate opportunities to practice our culinary skills (heh heh).

We hated to leave. Can't wait to return -- and when we do, we're definitely calling Steve and Trish at Citylife Suites.

Owner's Response: Roy and Mary, what can we say? Your review is outstanding and we so much appreciate all the positive comments. We just loved having you as our guests and wish that we could have spent more time with you while you were here, but you were too busy doing all kinds of things:-) Anyway, we really hope you'll be coming back again soon and we will keep the homefires burning until you do. Our warmest wishes to both of you! Steve and Trish
