This is a large family apartment on the 3rd (top) floor that my Italian family and myself have been using for about 50 years (since it was built). Dozens of young parents and children in my extended family have wonderful memories linked to this place. We have less need for the apartment now so we are doing short-term rentals. The apartment has been recently remodeled and features a new kitchen, new appliances, and new bathrooms.
Relax on one of the two ample balconies surrounded by century-old pine trees and facing nearby mountains after a day of sightseeing. Or have a quiet dinner on the balcony outside the kitchen. Major supermarket-grocery store with ample options (including pre-cooked local specialties) is just a few minutes away on foot.
- Large entry hall with closet.
- One large master bedroom with a double bed (the European equivalent of a queen size) and two twin beds, with large armoire.
- One medium size room with double bed and a small armoire.
-One small room with two twin beds.
- Large living-dining room with couch, armchairs, and dining table
- Large, fully equipped kitchen with table.
- One large bathroom with bath tub (can be also used as shower).
- One smaller bathroom with shower.
This is a wonderful spot for a family vacation! Ideal also for two couples traveling together. You are just five minutes walking distance away from one of the best sand beaches in Italy. All year around you can have easy access (using your own vehicle or public transportation) to world renowned places such as:
- Cinque Terre
Closest airport is Pisa (about 20 minutes drive) and Florence (about one hour). Car rental is available at either airport.

I am an Italian-born physician who has lived in the U.S.A. for over 20 years. My three U.S.-born children have spent their most memorable vacations in this apartment.
My brother (co-owner) is a professor at the University of Pisa. He will be available for on-site assistance during your stay.

When you rent our place you get a reasonably priced spot where to relax and enjoy a true Italian-style vacation, plus friendly assistance both before and during your stay. The place is simple, but comfortable and cozy.
Spacious, well-appointed apartment in ideal setting close to the beach. Outstanding restaurants and retail in easy walking distance; nearby full-service grocery store offers great selection of food to cook in your own kitchen, or to buy ready-to-eat. Balconies provide a lovely setting to enjoy a quiet dinner or a glass of wine while watching the sun set. Very easy access to airport in Pisa and easy day trips throughout Tuscany. Felt very comfortable exploring the area on foot, including at nighttime. The building in which the apartment is located is clean, well-maintained, and secure. Owner very helpful. Highest recommendation--will not disappoint.
Very nice apartment that was roomy, and well kept up. We really enjoyed staying in a more traditional neighborhood, although the location had very easy access to more traditional tourist spots, like Cinqua Terra, Lucca, and Pisa. A great place for a family on vacation to have as a home base for exploring.
An easy walk from the apartment to the beach in one direction. The grocery store is much closer, offering Giotto paint brushes and Big Americans pizza. Wonderful views from the balcony -- past pine trees, through a blue mist, to mountains not far away.
Inside: So much space! A family member responded quickly when we called for help in operating the washing machine. The apartment was clean on arrival -- the kitchen equipped for simple cooking.
It was so comfortable -- homey! -- what with books on the shelves, games for the kids. Clean. Quiet -- and quieting. Secure: I'd have no trouble parking my 93-year-old mother here.
It's less than 20 miles to Pisa and Lucca, only a little more to Florence. It's an easy drive to catch a train to one of the cities that constitute the Cinque Terra -- and then to hike from one small city to the next, beside the ocean. This was a fabulous experience. If you prefer to eyeball marble rather than ocean views, Carrara is also an easy drive.
We visited all these and more, and having the apartment as a temporary home was icing on the cake.
