Due to an illness in the family, we had to make last-minute arrangements for our entire family to be in St. Pete Beach. Trader Haven accommodated all of us well with five bedrooms. The manager, Rosemary, could not have been nicer to work with. She was helpful and gracious. When we realized there was no hair dryer on the property, she immediately left her home, drove to a store to buy us one and deliver it to us. The place feels homey and the beds were all comfortable. I recommend Trader Haven for anyone looking for a large accommodation near the beach in Pass-A-Grille.
This house was a fantastic rental to say the least! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the person who runs the property, who is one of the sweetest, most helpful women you will ever meet. The house has 5 well-kept rooms and three bathrooms that were easy to share, proven by the fact that we fit 17 people in the house at one point and ultimately fit 15 adults comfortably. The sunroom provided for a beautiful space to spend time with all of our friends, with a great view of the main street below, but without losing the feeling of privacy. In addition, the outdoor patio in the back was very nice to sit on at night and in the morning. The beach was a mere 3-5 minute walk from the house, making it very easy to go back and forth as much as one would like. The beach itself was gorgeous and hardly crowded, with plenty of beachfront restaurants and artisans along the strip. The area in general was quaint and relaxing. Never saw a cloud all week, weather was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
i stayed at this property for a week with my family this past fall. weather was perfect, and the location of the condo was great with respect to some nice pubs across the street and within walking distance. i have to say the main complaint i had was the condo was very dirty. you walk across the floor and your feet or socks were black. all the moldings and sills had an inch of dirt and dust on them and the kitchen table had years of encrusted who knows what. from my understanding the owners live abroad so they might not be aware that whoever is doing their housekeeping is ripping them off. also- all the bedrooms had nothing but a scarf over the windows so at 5 am the sun was full on bright in the rooms- forget sleeping in.
we rented this awesome place for a week. my son got married at the sirata beach resort which trader's haven was very close to the resort. i must said the condo was comfortable and spacious we has 25 people for the rehearsal dinner and everyone had a great time. John and Rosmary were the best. i would recommend this condo to all my friends and family. the shop and resturantes were the best. The beach is very close to the condo...i will rent this condo AGAIN NEXT YEAR.....
Family and friends stayed at Traders Haven for my daughter's beach wedding in October, 2013. The place is quirky, fun and really different - everyone loved it! There was plenty of room for all. It took a few days to get our bearings - we kept getting lost looking for the bathrooms!!! The former tenant's comment about the showerhead is true - they are made for very short people! All in all, a wonderful place to stay - close to everything and very comfortable. Would highly recommend!
Total of 8 of us stayed there...but had 22 there for lunch, and had plenty of room. Very close to beach and waterway. Not bothered at all by any of the great nightlife in the area. Would suggest an investment in handheld shower heads...showers were designed for people around 5 feet tall. Super place to vacation.
