Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-6)
This great house is a pacific northwest beach cottage classic. Sitting at the end of a dead end street it is the perfect location for families, surfers, or a great getaway with friends. Located just across the street from the beach and a short 2 minute walk to the Pelican Brew Pub. This home is very quiet and once you are here you don't have to get in your car again until you leave.
The home has an updated open living area that allows those in the kitchen, dinning room, or living room to enjoy each others company . For those of you not quite ready to totally check out, there is cable TV, DVD's and wireless internet.
The main floor bedroom is set up as the master with a king bed, closet and tv/dvd. We have set up the upstairs loft with the kids in mind. There is a king bed as well as a twin and toddler bed with a portable crib as well. You will find the beds and linens to be very comfortable and clean. The bathroom has a tub shower combo and stackable washer and dryer.
Outside there is a detached garage with bikes, kites, sand toys and lots of goodies for the beach. The back yard is set up with a welcoming wood fire pit and kid play set bound to keep the little guys happy. The patio catches the sun all day and has comfortable furniture. An outdoor hot shower really tops off this beach cottage for the surfer or cold and sandy kids.

About Jason Mcalister
We have a great family that enjoy many outdoor activities.
Why Jason Mcalister chose Pacific City
I looked for a house on this street for 2 years until this one came up. To me this is the best location in Pacific City which allows the whole family a great beach experience every time we come.

Such a great place to stay! It's perfect for a family with small children. Great location and the owners are always kind and helpful. Highly recommend it.
This is our absolute favorite beach house!
We have stayed here before and it feels even more like home now. It is so comfortable, convenient, and full of fun memories for us and our kids. Thank you!
Great time at the beach!
The Mcalister cottage is just what the doctor ordered. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to celebrate. We did not even end up using the upstairs, but there was plenty of room for more in a nice loft space. The kitchen was nice and the overall place was neat and clean. The beach is just across the road and you can walk for miles. The views are breathtaking and the rain held off for most of the trip. You can taste fresh seafood and grab a pint down at the Pelican Brewery. It is in walking distance.
Overall, this place is great and I would recommend it highly!
Great Stay despite stormy weather
We stayed here with a good friend and our young kids. Unfortunately the weather was very stormy (as we expected it to be in February) but we still had a great time. Great beach access and close to restaurants. I used the beach cruiser to go to the market and also used the gas grill to bbq. Hope to come back sometime in the summer or fall. The only thing I wish it had during our visit was a fireplace but still a cozy beach house.
Stayed in the McCalister's beach house for three nights. The location was perfect! We walked to everything. The house was comfortable and the movie selections great. We cooked in two nights and found everything we needed to prepare meals. Will definitely stay there again. Thanks Jason for being so available for questions. There are beach chairs and toys for all ages in the garage. Made it extra fun.
Location location location and bikes
We loved the location and selection of fun bikes to ride. “Debo” was perfect to grab a sixer from Pelican or swerve down the dune to the huge beautiful beach. We walked the large dune and even found a fresh dead salmon shark on the beach. The house is cozy and our kids (7&10) enjoyed the loft. The kitchen is small but works. The range is terrible with only 3 burners working and the others are finicky. The cookware matches the range. The bathroom is functional but does not have an exhaust fan, does have a small window. The decorations are cute and fun. The house was fairly clean but needs a cobweb dusting. We didn’t get to use the fire pit and back yard due to weather but it would be an awesome place to hang out. Again the bikes and location are worth the stay. One tip I can offer now having stayed at way too many vrbo houses is to bring your own simple cookware set up. People must be too rough on the house gear. Oh and the pizza joint right up the street is amazing. We would stay again for sure.
This house is perfect for the surfer at Pacific city, gas chambers is directly in front of the house and the cove is a short walk up the beach
