3 large bedrooms 2 bathrooms in historic center sleeps up to 9 full Air Condit
This important brand new 3 bedroom apartment is Located in the 'piano nobile' of count Franchini Stappo's Palace. Built in the 'Firenze capitale' architectural style (neo rinascimento fiorentino), this property is very sunny bright and spacious, and, quite an unique feature for an historic building, it has a modern and functional elevator. The apartment (153 yards,140 square meters with 14,7 feet high ceilings) is fully air conditioned and high speed WIFI covered (Telecom Fibra, the fastest connection available in Italy) and located in the center of Florence a short walk from the Duomo at the noble floor of a 1850 aristocratic building. A crystal Elevator has just been installed and it is ready to use. It is very rare to find an historic building in the center of Florence which has an elevator. This apartment has very luxury features such as top end bathrooms (Devon & Devon equipment), top quality beds and mattresses, quarter-sawn white oak floors in a herringbone pattern throughout, high end kitchen with marble top, very high ceilings (14,7 feet! 4,50 metres!), Washing machine and a new DRYER, beautiful rich stuccos and many antique paintings and furnitures ect. NO cheap quality furnitures. As a matter of fact, this apartment was until very recently the private home of a count of local aristocracy and has now been completely renovated to add a touch of freshness to the classic style. The very large windows of the big drawing room and of 2 of the bedrooms look into a nice large historic street with some trees and classic buildings. This very bright sunny and spacious three large bedrooms property is articulated on one level only which is suitable for people with reduced mobility, it is fully air conditioned (every room can choose its temperature) and has a top speed WIFI. The third bedroom is separate by a corridor which grants a quiet sleep even amongst a group of friends or a large family with children. The house is in the most beautiful safe and sought after residential area in the historical centre of Florence. It is very close to Four Seasons hotel, next to the beautiful Piazza d'Azeglio (one of the very few playgrounds for children in the green), and a short walk from the Duomo, Santa Croce, the Synagogue and the main museums and popular shopping and restaurant areas of Sant'Ambrogio. One of the best ice cream maker is just on block away and the wonderful freshfood farmer market of Sant'Ambrogio just 2 bloks away. There is also an organic food shop and restaurant 50 metres away. It is a very Florentine part of the town, where real Florentines still live. It is possible to rent a private parking for 25€/day in the historic garden downstairs.
An important factor to consider in order to chose this property is that this property is always maintained up to a 'as new' conditions. As a matter of fact, the owner is very attentive to all details; regular in depth professional cleaning, frequent periodical renovations and interventions make this property always IDENTICAL to the photos you see on this site and appliances and fornitures are in excellent status

Most Chic Apartment I've Ever Rented
We just returned from our glorious week in Florence. One of the highlights was undoubtedly staying in this apartment. The ceilings were just so...grand. One of my only regrets was not preparing a meal in the fully-equipped chef's kitchen. Staying here makes you feel as though you're not staying in a random HomeAway rental - but instead, in your chic uncle's apartment. Guido, the consummate host, has incredible taste and every inch of the unit is well done. One block away was Caesarino, which may have been the best meal we had while in town (don't miss the gnocchi with black truffles). A 15 minute walk to the Duomo, there are amazing markets, gelato shops, bakeries and cafes 2 minutes away. If ANYONE I know has plans to return to Florence, I'll recommend this apartment. Truly can't say enough good things.
i just red your review and... WOW!!! you really did my day!
many, many sincere thanks for taking the time to write one of the nicest review i have ever had.
Impressive apartment in great location in Florentine neighborhood with easy access to sights.
A wonderful family holiday spent exploring Florence and surrounding areas. The apartment is bright and spacious and the location is perfect. We enjoyed time there relaxing after walking the city for a full day before enjoying a delicious dinner at one of the many lovely restaurants and trattorias nearby. In the morning it was a few minutes in any direction to reach coffee shops, the organic food store, a local Tuscan food market, the 6 day a week fresh food market or the Coop supermarket, you are spoiled for choice to buy breakfast! We enjoy staying in local neighborhoods to get a real feel of the city and shop where the local residents go. It is also a very easy and safe walk to all the main sights of the city, Florence is best explored on foot. Guido met us and explained everything about the apartment and made us feel very welcome. Our only comment on something to improve would be to check the bathroom doors as they were stiff to close. A great time was had by us all and we have come home with wonderful memories.
Large comfortable place
Guido, the host, is super responsive which makes one feel at ease. Place is very large and comfortable beds. Has two baths but one is more of a tub with handheld but still very clean and useful. Stayed with my family of 4 and my sister's family of 4 and it was large enough for all of us. Pretty good location but still about 10+ minute walk to main attractions. There is a nearby supermarket that we walked to which is nice.
thanks for your review. I am pleased you found the place large, comfortable and very clean. Please allow me just to point out, for future guests, that the second bathroom is full: large tub, WC, sink. it has antic marble floor and its irregular proportions (as shown in the photos) reflect the spirit of the 19th century houses. The location, as you correctly say and as specified in the listing, is a 10/15 minutes from the Duomo, the Uffizi and other attraction. To be even more precise it is 0,7 miles walking distance from the piazza del Duomo.
I hope next time you will rate it 5 stars as the grand majority of my guests.
thanks and kind regards
Gorgeous accommodations, just as advertised, fabulous location
Wonderful apartment, well located and very well appointed. Guido was super helpful throughout the process. Travel is so much nicer when you feel like you're part of the neighborhood and that's exactly how this felt--- letting yourself in off the street with your key fob and then a few steps to your home in Florence. Easy walk to everywhere and some real jewels right in the neighborhood (independently recommended to us by several Florentines). Best morning coffee and pastries at Serafini Caffe Pastricceria, best gelato in the city (!) Gelateria de Medici and a great restaurant literally just around the corner (Trattoria Cesarino). Also a special shoutout (because these were so helpful to me when I was planning my trip) to Freya's Florence for guided tours of all types (Taste of Tuscany with Toni was over the top delicious!) and to a small paper/stationary shop, Il Papiro, where we purchased many gifts and enjoyed a demonstration by the owner on making one of a kind marbled paper for book covers, book marks, ornaments, etc). I've stayed in VRBO's in many cities around the world and I can assure you that you're be very happy with this choice!
many thanks for your nice review!
Beautiful and Modern Apartment
Large spacious apartment comfortably furnished. Within walking distance to area attractions that can be reached within 15-30 minutes. Safe and secure. Would certainly stay here again. Guido was always quick to respond and very helpful.
many thanks for you nice review. Just allow me to clarify once again, for future guests, that the Duomo square and Accademia ( where the David is) are at O,7 mile (1km), which means no more than a pleasant 15 minute walk in a nice area with traffic restrictions. Only the area on the other side of the arno will need around 25 minutes walking. there are however many busses very close that will leave you just in oltrarno
An elegant place inspiring Florentine nobility!
I stayed in this elegant apartment with my wife and kids in the Autumn break 2017. It has been an unforgettable experience. The three-bedroom apartment is on the first floor of a renovated classical Florentine palazzo that belongs to a noble family with roots in 16th century Verona. The owner, a charming sartorial Count of local aristocracy who lives on the upper floors, has an immensely fine taste in art, music (he is an accomplished classical and jazz pianist and saxophonist), good food and, obviously, interior design! The building is located in an upmarket neighbourhood in the historical centre of Florence. A 10-minute walk from the Duomo, the area does not suffocate by the omnipresent hordes of tourists, but remains classy and discretely quiet. There are a few nice restaurants and cafés in the surrounding streets and a beautiful 19-century park with children attractions at a 3-minutes walk. Living there gives you a full immersion into stylish Florentine everyday living. It was a distinctive experience to walk across the street in the morning into the local bakery or the street market and mingle with relaxed morning local shoppers from this elegant neighborhood. The interior of the flat is outstanding. Fine art decoration is everywhere, on the walls, on the side tables, on the dressers. The ceilings are 4-meter high. The large red-wall living-room is bathed by the sunlight in the morning and becomes a cosy place to read a book or watch TV in the evening – when you decide to call it a day. The high-speed wi-fi connection is excellent and the satellite TV provides coverage of all major international channels. The three bedrooms are equipped with king-size beds and fine bedding linen. A walk-in dressing closet with full-body mirrors allows you to store your clothes and to get dressed in style, thus keeping the apartment neat from suitcases lying on the floor. The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, while a dining room adorned with a large round table sitting eight guests is where you will share culinary quality time with your family and friends - trust the local street market for extra-quality local fresh produce. The two master bedrooms are separately located on either sides of the apartment, which ensures privacy when two families are holidaying together. In a few words, if you want to live your myth in Florence with style and elegance, this is the place I highly recommend.
a very very big thanks for this outstanding review which is with no doubt the best review i had out of my 80 something reviews. Thanks also for taking the time to write such a long and precise description of the area and of the apartment. Nevertheless, please allow me to clarify for future guests that the satellite tv will no longer be available from the next week. I hope your trip back home was good and to see you back here one day
Next to beatiful Piazza d'Azeglio and a short walk from the Duomo, (0,6 mile) in a very lively and though very quite neigbouroughs, one of the few areas very close to a children playground in the green. Plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries, fresh food market, supermarkets, traditional ice cream makers. walking distance from all the museums and historic attractions. Two blocks from the best fresh food market (S. Ambrogio).
