Welcome to the largest desert park in the nation!
There are 4 public golf courses, Tennis Center, horseback riding, mountain biking, and much more.
The Anza-Borrego Desert State Park visitor's center is located west of town, with the park surrounding the town. This park encompasses more than 600,000 acres
Borrego Springs is approximately 55 miles from the bright lights of the highly developed coast. Borrego Springs was designated as California's first International Dark-Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association. It is a center for public astronomy activities throughout the year.
We can't think of any place in California that's so close to major cities where the Milky Way shines so brightly. Where meteors leave smoky trails behind and a favorite after-dinner pastime is watching the satellites fly over.
Be sure to check out the Metal Sculptures of Borrego Springs where you will find art right in the middle of the desert.
The area also offers 2 shopping malls, several restaurants, and many unique shops.
I wanted to drop a quick email about the house that I rented for my family this past weekend. It was absolutely lovely! It was clean, neat, and well cared for. We felt spoiled by all of the little touches that you left.
Thank you so much. I hope to rent the house again in the future!
• Unfair business practices: After you make a payment, the owner sends you additional terms and conditions (a “welcome letter”) for your stay, which may not work for your travel needs. This is an unpleasant surprise given their 60-day cancellation policy.
• Inadequate property management: The owner and her agent are not based in Borrego Springs. A major problem is that they do not have anyone local to deal with your problems, e.g. you may not get the keys to the property when you arrive. If it happens to you, they suggest that you go to a local hotel… ouch!
• Poor communication: It may take several days for the owner and her agent to reply to your emails and address problems. Their communications may be ambiguous and misleading.
• Do not risk your money and peace of mind. Reserve your stay elsewhere. Make sure the owner can provide a 24/7 local access and support.
A great place for golfer(s) as only two blocks from the Rams Hill Golf Club House. Two large bedrooms and very comfortable sitting room. The manager of the property were very personable and considerate. The flowers in the desert were exceptional this spring.
We (2 adult seniors) enjoyed 2 weeks in this cozy casita in December 2016. It is quiet, comfortable, tastefully decorated and very well appointed. Check-in and check-out were flawless, and communications with the owners/managers were always cordial and efficient. The kitchen has everything! The grounds are beautifully xeriscaped, and walking among the Rams Hill Community neighborhoods and along the edge of the golf course provided us with great birdwatching opportunities as well as lovely views of the Borrego desert and the Santa Rosa and San Ysidro mountains. Located on the southwest edge of Borrego Springs and in the heart of the vast Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, this casita is an ideal home base for exploring the many facets of the Park (hiking; biking; photography; geology; natural history), admiring the famous Ricardo Breceda metal sculptures on the desert floor, visiting the Salton Sea, shopping in town or just enjoying the outdoor recreational amenities associated with the condo. Materials provided in the casita include information about activities offered by the State Park, the Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association and local desert tour companies for visitors of all ages.
This was our 2nd visit to Borrego Springs and both times we stayed in the same complex. We liked the location of this property because it was literally 5 steps from our parking spot and no buildings outside our door. It was nice to do our own cooking, relax in privacy and not worry about hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. The place was neat and clean and the property managers made it easy to reserve the property. We especially liked how quiet and peaceful it was after a day of hiking in Anza Borrego Desert State Park!
We have vacationed in Borrego over the last 20 years and this house is by far the cleanest and best decorated of all the places we have stayed. The house is well appointed throughout, even the kitchen. Borrego does not offer much in dinning so a kitchen with amenities is a must and this home has it. (It could use a collider for pasta, but we improvised.) The home was quite due to its location. Flat screen tv and Bose stereo. I also appreciated all the supplies they had. I can't tell you how many VRBO homes we rent each year that have no cleaning supplies or simple items like light bulbs, however this home did. We had the community pool to ourselves most days and the tennis courts. Golf practice area is terrific. While we did not play Rams Hill Golf course this visit, it is a public course and well done. I walked to the practice facility daily and hit all the balls I wanted for $9. The development was also terrific for our daily walks. Highly recommend this home for 1-2 people.
This condo is clean and neat and well appointed. It is located in a quiet community in the desert not too far from town. The owner is friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed our stay.
