Why George H. Suddell chose Wilmington
Any one can rent a home in the woods! I dont like vacationing and after a day of activities getting into a cold car to travel to and from restaurants on slippery roads at night. This is why I developed a 'Gem' within walking distance to Restaurants , Shops, Art galleries etc. Free bus shuttle to the ticket booths at the Mountain. I'm sleeping in! while my teenage kids go up to the mountain to catch the Virgin Snow. After a day of fun, play Pool in front of a warm Fire or a soak in the hot tub As Randy would say 'Its the BOMB!!! ' a unique experience.
What makes this House unique
7 miles from Mount Snow with Free' Moovers' Shuttles Bus to and From the Mountain. located next to the ' Maple Leaf brewery'with great food, no need to drink and drive, just drink and walk 20 feet Home.other Restaurants , Bars, Shops and Art galleries just a Stroll down the Historic main street.

Great house, great host
Great house in a nice, small town! George was incredibly easy to work with and our group really enjoyed our stay. The house itself has tons of communal space to hang out, and we enjoyed being able to walk into town and took advantage of the nearby lake and trails.
This location and house are fantastic. Very spread out for a large group. The great room is huge.
Check in/out was super easy and the house is great for a big group. The Mount Snow shuttle is very helpful for a large group.
Wonderful place to celebrate with family and friends
This place had almost as much character as the owner George who was great. We celebrated our anniversary, my 50th birthday and an Eagles Super Bowl win. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 6 kids. Kids ages went from 2-17. I was up playing pool with my son hanging out in the part of the house that is an old restored barn. It is like hanging in your own pub. This is where everyone hung out together. The bedrooms are spread out through out the property and make it very unique and like everyone has their own spot.
We went to Mt. Snow 3 out of the 4 days we were there to snowboard and ski. It was only a 15 minute ride each day even with wonderful snow that was falling each morning we were here. There is a great shuttle that picks up right at the corner to bring you to the mountain. These are serious buses that are made for transporting skiers. It was great to get back from a day of skiing and walk right next door to the Maple Leaf Tavern for awesome homemade soups and great food. They treat you like you are old friends.
We had an incredible time staying in this very unique place and didn't even feel the need to get in the car to drive any where. I would recommend this propert for any group looking for place to hang out and have fun with family and friends.
Home Away From Home
This is my second time staying at The Suddell House and it was fantastic as usual. It is such a cozy, relaxing stay. George is very quick to respond with any issues or questions. He also checked up on us to make sure we arrived safely. They have everything a home has to offer and more.
Great house, great location!
The Suddell house was awesome! SO big, so many rooms for people to sleep, and a great big living room with pool, fuse ball, and a beautiful fire place. The hottub was enclosed, which allowed us to not be as cold, so that was nice. There were little shampoos, conditioners, etc... in the bathrooms, which made it feel like a hotel, and made us feel very welcomed. The house was right in the center of a cute little street with bars and places to eat, and the shuttle was really easy to access the mountain- right by the end of the street. George was super nice about everything, and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and can't wait to go again! My group was a bunch of old friends from college, and we would love to stay in this house again.
Fantastic house, right in town!
George's home is a fantastic Vermont getaway. We loved our stay. The property is large, clean, and quiet. It has all the amenities, the best of which is that it's located right in the center of town. Plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
