Condo, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)
This is the perfect location to enjoy all Lake Tahoe has to offer, located just two blocks from the lake or a short walk through the forest to another sandy beach at Skylandia park. Tahoe City is just over a mile away, minutes on the bike trail passing through the expansive meadow bordering the complex.
This condominium was completely remodeled, creating a beautiful living room, modern fully equipped kitchen, and 'state of the art' entertainment equipment. There is a 42' HD TV above the natural rock fireplace in the living room. The downstairs bedroom has been especially set up as both an 'entertainment room' and as a fourth bedroom with a 47' HD TV, lots of video and board games, a sofa bed and extra play space. Both TVs have DVD players, one is a Blu-Ray .
Our home has a well equipped kitchen, with all new appliances and handcrafted counters. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic supplies needed for a relaxing stay: salt, sugar, flour, other dry goods, laundry detergent, dishwasher and hand soap, paper towels, napkins etc.
The back deck has wonderful southern exposure. There is sun on most of the deck through out the day, making it the perfect place to stretch out for a tan, relax with a book, or enjoy a BBQ. It is fully fenced with a lockable gate ( bring your own lock) so it supplies a safe and secure location for children, pets and and easy bicycles access. (very convenient and not common in Lake Forest Glen) This is one of the closet units to the lake; just walk out the back gate, and it's a five minute walk away.
The Lake Forest Glen complex has all the amenities needed for a completely relaxing vacation for adults and loads of fun for the kids. There are two large pools (one focused for adults only) with plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing, tables and chairs for visiting, hot tub and sauna. In addition, there are five beautifully maintained tennis courts, basketball courts, and newer super cool playground. Surrounding all this is a huge meadow and a paved bicycling path that takes you to Tahoe City (1.5 miles), along the west shore or along the Truckee River to Truckee. Garden paths run throughout the complex with lovely landscaping surrounded by forested open space and plenty of lawn for playtime.
Extra parking for boat, RV or trailer or third vehicle available.
Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar are all about 15 minutes away and easily available by public transportation.
This is the ideal place for a relaxing, affordable vacation or extended stay with all the excitement and activities of Lake Tahoe practically at your doorstep.

About Mary Janney
We both grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and vacationed with our families in the Tahoe City Area. We have always loved Tahoe and spend as much time as possible between work and family activities in our condo. We know the area well, and enjoy sharing our favorite places.
Mary Janney purchased this Condo in 2010
Why Mary Janney chose Dollar Point
We purchased a unit in this community due to the fantastic location next to the lake, paved bike path, and national forest.. We love the 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride into Tahoe City for morning coffe. We can also bike from our condo, up to the high school to head out for a day of mountain bike trais through the national forest.. Kings beach, state-line and incline village are a short drive, and most of the ski resorts are 5 to 10 minutes drive away. With all of the amenities such as pool, sauna, tennis, snow plow service and beautiful grounds it is so much more relaxing that the family cabin we still own just a mile away. There is additional free parking available for boat, jetski, or snowmobile. One of the best boat ramps on the north shore is less than a mile away.
What makes this Condo unique
With just a short walk out the back porch, you can sip your coffee at lake edge while it is still hot from your kitchen. Because we use it at least twice a month, the condo is completely set up with all the things you need for a perfect vacation. Information on all the best beaches, hikes, restaurant are all in our coffee table guide.

Sufficient clean comfortable space
Really enjoyed this property and it’s closeness to the lake. All rooms were comfortable. Amenities were available. Kitchen was easy to cook our thanksgiving feast in. Sauna was walking distance but was not putting out the desired temperature. The hot tub was walking distance and was clean hot and bubbly. We had a great stay and would recommend this property and the owners.
Very nice condo.
Very nice condo.
Very welcoming place
Very clean and nicely kept. Perfect for vacation. Loved everything about it, but the sofa bed is lopsided. Glad I had a memory foam topper for it. The upstairs shower is awesome, but the downstairs shower head is a little rogue when it comes to the spray. The upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable. The grill is perfect, as is the outside table. You can feel the springs in the couch, but there is so much to do in Tahoe City that it isn't really a bother. Great experience overall.
We found the property to be very comfortable and particularly liked the private outdoor patio. Those who slept on the fold out sofa were not as comfortable as the rest of us, and a foam pad would have helped greatly. The outdoor activity areas were great and we enjoyed the walk to the beach. It is a shame to see the Lake so low. It was nice to have the spices available and certainly added to our eating enjoyment and cooking in the well-appointed kitchen.
Enjoyed going to Bacchi's restaurant just around the corner for the sweetbreads so enjoy.
We also took the Tahoe Queen to Emerald Bay and that was a first for us.
As we left my children were talking about next year!!!!!!
I like this place
We had a family vacation (4 adults, two children) at this beautiful home during the Christmas days. Everything was great and comfortable. I like that this condo is situated very close to the Tahoe XS with their excellent cross country trails. We all are the advocates of cross country skiing, so we choose this home for that reason. Also, the location is very comfortable to reach as Tahoe Lake beaches as the Squaw Valley Resort and other local attractions. Thank you very much to David and Maria for their service!
One thing we were disappointed was a sauna at the complex. As a rule, everybody uses it to change clothes to go to the hot tube so that we couldn't use according to its intended purpose.
Thank you for your comments. We love the location too, as it is central to so many activities. We also appreciate hearing about the problem of the sauna used as a changing room. There are separate bathrooms for that purpose, and most people just walk the short distant to the spa in a bathrobe or towel. We have forwarded this issue to the general manager for correction.
Beautiful Condo and complex
My family (3 adults ,3 teenage boys ) just had a wonderful week in this lovely condo, it was so perfect for all of us.There is a den downstairs where the boys hung out and we adults could enjoy the spacious living room and large patio. The condo is very close to a great uncrowded beach called Skylandia, during the summer almost all Tahoe beaches are packed so it's nice to be near one that is not.The only small thing we didn't love was the lack of a king sized bed in the master bedroom. We will definitely be coming back to this place , it will exceed your expectations !
Fantastic bike trails right from front door. NorthStar, Squaw, Alpine Meadow ski resorts less than 30 minutes away. Groomed Cross country skiing less than a mile away. Mountain bike into lake tahoe ridge trails less than a half mile away.
