About Kris Norlander
Our Cabin was built in 1928. This is my wife and my first home that we bought in 2000. The two of us got married in 2002 and started major renovations to the Cabin, including all new wood flooring, tile, insulation, electrical wiring and drywall. The Cabin was completely gutted and everything was replaced with new material. This was all done while we lived in it spending every weekend making repairs for 8 years. I would never recommend anyone to live in a home while doing the type of repairs we did. In 2006 we had our first set of twins (Boy and Girl) and two years later we were blessed with our second set of twins making the Cabin that we love feel very small. In 2010, we moved out of our Cabin to a larger home and rented out our Cabin full time for one year. In 2012, our little Cabin was converted into a Vacation Rental and everything has been restored again to a new condition once again.
Kris Norlander purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Kris Norlander chose Lake Arrowhead
My wife and I have lived in this area all of our life and would not live anywhere else in Southern California. It is a wonderful cozy little cabin that you will feel so comfortable in with all the amenities you would need to make it a perfect vacation location. We love our little Cabin and have taken so much pride in making it a home for us and have now invested time and efforts to make it a wonderful experience for you and your family. We hope that you enjoy your stay here and hope that everything is to your expectations.
What makes this Cabin unique
People all across Southern California have driven up to our mountains every winter and summer to enjoy the snow, sledding, hiking and biking. Our cabin has some of the best sledding right in the backyard, plus the unoccupied 50 acres of forest right up against the cabin makes it a perfect place for the kids to get out and use all the built in energy. There is a local hiking trail directly in the backyard that is easily accessible.

Clean, homey, comfortable
There were nine of us girls who stayed here for a night! It was fun, cozy, and a good amount of space for all of us. The beds upstairs were extremely comfortable and there was enough room for us all with the pull out couches downstairs. We had a great time. Some trouble in the beginning with the access code, but they gave us extra time to check out the next day which was really sweet.
We had a great time!
Thanks for staying. Glad you 9 girls had a great time!! Hope you come back to enjoy in the summer..
Super cozy and a welcoming cabin. Everything was perfect and as described. The location is great. Owners were super attentive to my stay there. Definitely would book again :)
Not Professional, Wouldn’t Recommend
We had several issues during our stay. The owner was non-responsive on our issues. He tried to make it right only after we posted a negative review. He offered us a return visit to show us he will make the necessary improvements to his cabin. I’ve reached out to the owner several times to book our return stay, but now after several attempts, he is no longer responding. Very unprofessional, I will never return or recommend his cabin solely based on his poor service and not honoring his offer.
Sorry we could not accommodate the dates you requested.. Hope you were able to find someone that could provide the dates you need for your stay.. Thanks for your past stay and providing the feedback to make things better for future guests..
