Built in 1928. The home was one of the first homes on the street when it was originally built. The cabin has been restored with that rustic feel. Open floor plan in the downstairs living and dining areas making it feel very roomy and cozy. The downstairs has oak flooring and tile throughout. All the upstairs is carpeted in the bedrooms. Both bathrooms are tiled and you have an option of taking a bath in restored old fashioned claw foot tub or a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The house is located in a prime location 1 block off the main road making it very accessible in the winter snow and to all the various activities in the local community. Very large backyard with swing set/playground, the back of house is against approx. 50 acres of virgin forest that can be enjoyed from the brand new wrap-around deck. Excellent hill in back yard for sledding in the winter snow. Views from the back patio area makes it feel very secluded and private.
Memory foam mattresses on the Queen and Twin Beds.
For your entertainment: The cabin has a 42 in. flat screen TV in the living room and 32 in. in upstairs master bedroom. Amazon Prime TV and wireless internet service. With the rental of our cozy cabin it includes rights to enjoy all the various Private Lake Arrowhead Beach Clubs (Summer Months).

Our Cabin was built in 1928. This is my wife and my first home that we bought in 2000. The two of us got married in 2002 and started major renovations to the Cabin, including all new wood flooring, tile, insulation, electrical wiring and drywall. The Cabin was completely gutted and everything was replaced with new material. This was all done while we lived in it spending every weekend making repairs for 8 years. I would never recommend anyone to live in a home while doing the type of repairs we did. In 2006 we had our first set of twins (Boy and Girl) and two years later we were blessed with our second set of twins making the Cabin that we love feel very small. In 2010, we moved out of our Cabin to a larger home and rented out our Cabin full time for one year. In 2012, our little Cabin was converted into a Vacation Rental and everything has been restored again to a new condition once again.
Kris Norlander purchased this cabin in 2000
My wife and I have lived in this area all of our life and would not live anywhere else in Southern California. It is a wonderful cozy little cabin that you will feel so comfortable in with all the amenities you would need to make it a perfect vacation location. We love our little Cabin and have taken so much pride in making it a home for us and have now invested time and efforts to make it a wonderful experience for you and your family. We hope that you enjoy your stay here and hope that everything is to your expectations.
People all across Southern California have driven up to our mountains every winter and summer to enjoy the snow, sledding, hiking and biking. Our cabin has some of the best sledding right in the backyard, plus the unoccupied 50 acres of forest right up against the cabin makes it a perfect place for the kids to get out and use all the built in energy. There is a local hiking trail directly in the backyard that is easily accessible.
We had a fabulous week in the cabin. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air. The kids loved the swing and slides out the back and we have enjoyed eating outside as this is something that we haven't had the pleasure of doing in Phoenix, AZ. as of yet. We explored lake arrowhead village, burnt mill beach, big bear lake and we even made a day trip to Disneyland, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The cabin was wonderful and we will bring very happy memories back to Ireland when we return later this year.
There were nine of us girls who stayed here for a night! It was fun, cozy, and a good amount of space for all of us. The beds upstairs were extremely comfortable and there was enough room for us all with the pull out couches downstairs. We had a great time. Some trouble in the beginning with the access code, but they gave us extra time to check out the next day which was really sweet.
We had a great time!
Cabin was cute and comfortable. We loved having the playset available and especially the woods right next to the house, perfect for family hikes with little ones. Owner was very friendly and helpful, answered all of our questions.
Second bedroom has no door so after the first night we rearranged things and put our kids in the master bedroom which has a door. Otherwise we'd have to be pretty quiet once they went to bed and I was too afraid to pop in a movie or make popcorn etc until we switched them to the room with a door. Also, the amenities still lists a microwave but we were disappointed to find that was gone once we arrived. You can obviously make it work though and reheat everything on the stove and oven, just no quick reheats so you've got to plan a little for that. My only suggestion would be to get another microwave or at least a tea kettle for easy hot water (cocoa and tea are a must in chilly weather 😉. Thanks for a great stay. Our kids loved playing in the snow nearby the cabin.
We had a wonderful time here in the cabin, the kids enjoyed the snow. Kris responds immediately with any questions. This is our second time here, we will come back again.
Came up here and it was so great to be in constant contact with the owner. Conditions coming up were a little icy, but the drive way got paved for us , and the location is super close to the highway. It's actually really easy to access which was a big plus. Backyard was nice, full house was stocked, heaters worked. Only thing that we had an issue with was the back door being rather hard to open and close.
Would very much so recommend this place for friends.
