Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We used this house as a retreat for a group of young adults. Everyone enjoyed the spacious living areas and we enjoyed the kitchen. Unfortunately while cooking I grabbed the hot pad out of the drawer in a hurry to pull dinner out of the oven and the hot pad mit had a giant hole in the end where your fingers go which resulted in a very painful burn on my fingers. That would be a good clue as when to throw things away...the only other complaint was the main room gas fireplace shutting off all the time. It was nice when it was on but seemed to struggle to stay on. Overall a great house. I'd stay there again.
The house is very spacious, great view and beautiful surrounding area ! The house has 3 fire places, which we enjoyed very much ! Well kept and cozy )
This place was great for our annual family Christmas gathering. Great spaces for togetherness but also large enough and laid out to accommodate separation as well. Kitchen is very well equipped and a pleasure to cook in - not always the case when it's someone else's kitchen. Also enjoyed warming up at the outdoor fire pit fire pit after playing in the snow. Power went out for a while because of a storm, but there were plenty of candles and gas fireplace and cooking, so it did not ruin our fun. We had a great time and really enjoyed Our stay!
I highly recommend dealing with Vacasa for house rental, Luxery Accommodations for shuttle services that were timely and reasonably priced, and Timberline Lodge for their efficiency in wedding/reception planning.
Beautiful house, beautiful location for a large management retreat. Highlight is the fabulous kitchen - and also lots of truly lovely bedrooms and fireplaces. A welcoming place where we could both work AND relax!
This house has lots of space and natural light via 3 stories of windows in the huge living room. Kitchen is large and quite well equipped, including instructions for using the large gas range/oven. There was plenty of space for our family members who were in town for a wedding. 5 bedrooms had queen or king beds, and a 6th bedroom in basement had 7 twin beds (not quite perfect for 5 teens of both genders, but couches elsewhere provided solution). Given the open space, some people found it to be rather loud, as voices echoed everywhere, but to be expected with that many people and such open space. One of the bedrooms is a very nice, quiet self-contained separate studio over the garage, with fireplace, bathroom, coffee-maker, etc. Internet worked very well. Hot tub was hot and inviting.
A few issues:
1) Rooms that didn't have a gas fireplace were cold, especially the basement room with 2 sets of double bunk beds and 3 twins. Central heat took many hours to crank up modestly, and didn't have much effect in those rooms with no additional heat source. Most rooms had at least an electric space heater, but it was insufficient for that basement room. We visited in early October. Perhaps owners will adjust heat controls for the colder months.
2) Instructions should have been provided in book about how to turn on gas fireplace in living room, as it was not at all obvious, and not a wall switch like the other gas fireplaces.
3) Light source in several bedrooms was insufficient, e.g. hall sconces and small bedside lamps didn't provide enough light in main floor bedrooms to pack a suitcase. Lamps weren't bright enough to read by.
4) Main floor is entirely wheelchair accessible!!! However, if renting to a person who cannot stand, please be advised that bathing would be close to impossible: choose between a small shower with high step and no shower wand, or very deep jacuzzi tub without even any grab bars.
5) If there was a sauna, it was behind one of several locked doors. We didn't inquire.
Overall, a very lovely house, well located and well equipped. It is rare to find a house anywhere that is both wheelchair accessible and big enough to accommodate 15 people.
