The redhead next to me is my wife Ana.
We have 2 daughters who are grown and are on their own ( not really, if you are a parent you know) and a 14 pound Schnoodle ( he thinks he is a giant). We have been living in the DC metro area for about 36 years and absolutely love it. Washington DC is a beautiful city, it really is and for people coming here to spend their vacations or attend conferences, weddings, funerals (The Arlington Cemetery), graduations, sight seeing, festivals etc. etc. there isn't any city that offers so much.
I manage the properties and Ana tells me what to do (!!!) We are a great team and enjoy doing what we do.
Allen purchased this townhome in 2011

A great property and location. The manager was very helpful and responsive. Near restaurants and Starbucks which made our kids very happy. We'd recommend this to any family visiting.
Wow! Our family made this a destination family reunion -- 23 of us (plus one on the way:)) converged on D.C. for a full week! This three-level home plus the apartment below made my goal of keeping us all together! The home accommodated all of us easily. Allen was very helpful in providing any extras we requested, and was prompt throughout all of our planning stage. The neighborhood is a fun mix of stores, shopping and restaurants, and easy access to the Metro stop, and the Circulator Bus route right in front! We recommend this to anyone and hope to be back ourselves!
Great neighborhood. The house was very comfortable for our extended family of 12. I'd gladly rent this house again!
Allen was super with arrangements and communication too.
Our group was visiting from the West Coast and included six family groups including a couple of toddlers and and infant. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs units. The space worked well for our group as it had several spaces for people to gather(living room, tv room, deck, and dining area) and the upstairs kitchen allowed us to cook most of our meals during our stay. The location is excellent for sightseeing. The National Zoo is a 20 minute walk and there are various bus lines very close by that will easily get you to the White House and Capital areas. The unit was clean and has a lot of character. We did have a couple of challenges, both due to the requirements or our group and with regard to a couple of the appliances in the unit. Allen was always responsive and made sure that the challenges were met. All in all, it is hard to imagine finding anything that would have worked better for us.
We were 5 women traveling for work and this was a perfect home for us. The 5 bedrooms are both sizable and well appointed.
The home has lots of character. The two living spaces - living room and family room allowed us to separate as needed and be all together, as well. The kitchen was well equipped. They did a great job of updating and keeping the character. We didn't cook at home but you sure could - plenty of space.
The neighborhood is fantastic. Every kind of food you could want. A market close by. Coffee shop and café within steps.
We would go back again in a heartbeat as we travel several times a year to DC. We have stayed in a few other homes - this is by far our favorite.
Our 7-person family/business group fit perfectly in the property. It's a great space and the location is hard to beat in Washington, DC. The Metro (Red Line) is a block or so away which means you can get anywhere easily. Allen is a very accommodating, charming host.
