Discriminating canines are invited to accompany their humans to La Vista for a special doggie rate of $25 per night ( max $100 per Visit). We will do our best to ensure that you and your human have plenty to wag about!

As a good boy/girl, please make sure:

Your humans do not abandon you inside La Vista while they go off and have fun. We can recommend doggie-camp options or companion visits to prevent this all-too-common tragedy.

Your human has been trained to take you to a proper outdoor location to complete your regular business in the dignified manner to which you are accustomed. And, that your human does the cleanup job for which they were so well designed.

Your human does not cause you to howl, bark, whimper, whine, and potentially face an embarrassing charge.

Your human remains leashed to you when anywhere outside the gate of La Vista since you’re not allowed off leash and would never have gone unless coerced.

Your human pays for any damage s/he causes you to inflict, as usually happens at home.

La Vista welcomes you for an enjoyable bit of panting and wagging, and invites you to sniff for a special treat upon check-in. La Arf at La Vista!

We work hard ... But have no fear we play hard too!

Whenever time allows, we can be found cooking up a fabulous concoction in the kitchen (red wine in hand) & we often share with our guests too;) or we may be out & about walking the rio grande with our 4 (yes! On many occasions, we visit the plethora of dog friendly restaurant patio's and can often be found on our bikes headed to a new SW Adventure in The Land Of Enchantment.

Why Nicolle and Robert chose Albuquerque

Historic Albuquerque, New Mexico is a combination of the very old and the highly contemporary, the frontier town and the cosmopolitan city. It is a city with a truly rich history!!

“Absolutely Perfect”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2014

A couple of friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was amazing. As soon as we pulled up we were in awe. The neighborhood is cute. The house looks nice from the outside, but once you go inside, you see the real treasure. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. I kept reading excellent reviews, but I still wasn't prepared for how fabulous it was. They truly did think of everything. We drew straws for the master bedroom, which is definitely grand. I did not get the master, but I wasn't event hat upset, because all 3 bedrooms were great. Downstairs is the 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, the laundry room, and a little sitting area. Upstairs is the master bedroom, a living room, the kitchen, 1 1/2 bathroom, a dining area, and an amazing balcony with a beautiful view. We were only there for a few days, but I really want to go back for a week so I can cook in that wonderful kitchen. Also, in the back yard is a fire pit, which, luckily it got chilly enough on our last night that we were able to take advantage of it. it was so nice and cozy. I just can't say enough about this place. I travel a lot, and this is the best place I have ever stayed. if I go back to ABQ, I will definitely be planning to stay here again!

The Ritz Carlton of VRBO's!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in many, many VRBO rentals over the years. Usually it is furnished with the owners second hand furniture, old pots and pans, broken or chipped dinnerware, etc. This was the most amazing home I have ever stayed in. Everything was 5 star, top notch. The house was so well appointed that I felt like I was at an expensive resort. Nothing you could have wanted was left out. Even down to hair dryers, spa robes, and make up mirrors (who thinks of that?!) Anything you could possibly want, or forgot to bring, was available to you, if you needed it, including over the counter medications, toothbrushes, lotions, hair products, you name it. The beds were luxurious with high quality bedding, the towels were plush, the furniture was comfortable and very stylish, the outdoor areas were amazing and well appointed. The views of the Sandia Mountains were breathtaking, and we did indeed see hot air balloons every day we were there, except for one day with HIGH winds. The location is perfect too. You are within a few minutes of the Petroglyphs, the Railrunner Train station (which we used to have a relaxing trip up to Santa Fe), downtown Old Albuquerque, the airport, the University of New Mexico and Sandia Casino and Resort. I do not have enough great things to say about this vacation rental and Nicolle and Robert. I would, without hesitation, highly recommend this. Our girls getaway was made even better by staying at this amazing house! If we are ever in the area again, we will positively stay here again. A+++++++++++++++++++

Much More Than The Average Bear

  • 5 of 5

The average bear is usually satisfied with clean, dry, cozy accommodations, hopefully with a jar of honey. Well, La Vista goes head and shoulders above the average....and the honey (and lots of other goodies) was waiting in the pantry!

Lovely furnishings and decor, good beds, great linens, televisions both up and downstairs, comfy outdoor tables and chairs. Everything sparkling and clean.

Our parrot, Echo (aka The Green Chicken) enjoyed the wrap around views through big windows and zooming up and down the stairs like a fighter pilot.

To put the cherry on top of our stay, the Owners happily forwarded my husband's forgotten laundry. It arrived washed, dried and folded!

You will be so impressed with La Vista--we will certainly be back.

Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

We had to be in New Mexico for my Grandma's funeral service so it wasn't the happiest of circumstances, so we weren't necessarily on a fun vacation trip. However, I can say that I specifically picked the house because of the western themed star room for my 6-year-old daughter, and she was thrilled. In fact, we were all thrilled. Everything works, there are many nice amenities in the house and the view from the back patio is gorgeous. We were very comfortable and whenever we go back, we intend to stay there as long as it is available. Thank you Nicole for all your kindness. It was much appreciated.

Best Accommodations EVER!!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at La Vista is a heavenly experience. I felt like I was truly in another world of Southwest beauty, charm and mystery. The views of the city at night and the Sandias during the day, especially at sunset, were breathtaking!

The strings of lights as you walk in the front door at night, the gas fireplace, the candles, the extra luxurious blankets, the pillows everywhere, the comfortable furnishings on the deck and patio, and the lights in the back yard at night made it a magical setting. There was every amenity you could imagine - even better than staying in your own home. I have never had such a sense of "home" and "peace" in any other vacation setting.

The gourmet kitchen was fully equipped - not only with pots, pans and utensils, but drinks, eggs, snacks, spices, zip-lock bags, etc. There were even toiletries in the bathroom and a medication closet for simple, over-the-counter needs. The owners have anticipated every possible need and convenience you could possibly desire.

The owners and management team are unsurpassed in their warmth, friendliness and availability. It truly was like having a personal concierge for the entire city of Albuquerque. It doesn't get any better than this! I hope to return every year for the rest of my life. Enjoy! - Nicki from Houston
