Discriminating canines are invited to accompany their humans to La Vista for a special doggie rate of $25 per night ( max $100 per Visit). We will do our best to ensure that you and your human have plenty to wag about!

As a good boy/girl, please make sure:

Your humans do not abandon you inside La Vista while they go off and have fun. We can recommend doggie-camp options or companion visits to prevent this all-too-common tragedy.

Your human has been trained to take you to a proper outdoor location to complete your regular business in the dignified manner to which you are accustomed. And, that your human does the cleanup job for which they were so well designed.

Your human does not cause you to howl, bark, whimper, whine, and potentially face an embarrassing charge.

Your human remains leashed to you when anywhere outside the gate of La Vista since you’re not allowed off leash and would never have gone unless coerced.

Your human pays for any damage s/he causes you to inflict, as usually happens at home.

La Vista welcomes you for an enjoyable bit of panting and wagging, and invites you to sniff for a special treat upon check-in. La Arf at La Vista!

Why Nicolle and Robert chose Albuquerque

Historic Albuquerque, New Mexico is a combination of the very old and the highly contemporary, the frontier town and the cosmopolitan city. It is a city with a truly rich history!!

The petroglyphs, vistas, sunsets, food, art, historic attractions and lifestyle captured our hearts. The Albuquerque experience is wrapped up in four distinct & truly wonderful seasons ... all of which are stunning.

There are a variety of things to do in Albuquerque. Whether we were visiting one of the 14 beautiful golf courses & spas, taking a hot-air balloon flight over the scenic Rio Grande Valley, hiking among dormant volcanoes, horseback riding along the river, strolling through Old Town & Nob Hill to visit the many eclectic shops, being drawn into the amazing Art Galleries or visiting one of the local wineries to taste the grape! We found that Albuquerque offers a real breath of fresh air with a fantastic climate & warm wonderful people.

Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico, is packed with activities, cultural attractions and distinctive sightseeing opportunities & plenty of people watching too ;).

There was so much to do ... we stayed!

“Absolutely Perfect”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2014

A couple of friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was amazing. As soon as we pulled up we were in awe. The neighborhood is cute. The house looks nice from the outside, but once you go inside, you see the real treasure. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. I kept reading excellent reviews, but I still wasn't prepared for how fabulous it was. They truly did think of everything. We drew straws for the master bedroom, which is definitely grand. I did not get the master, but I wasn't event hat upset, because all 3 bedrooms were great. Downstairs is the 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, the laundry room, and a little sitting area. Upstairs is the master bedroom, a living room, the kitchen, 1 1/2 bathroom, a dining area, and an amazing balcony with a beautiful view. We were only there for a few days, but I really want to go back for a week so I can cook in that wonderful kitchen. Also, in the back yard is a fire pit, which, luckily it got chilly enough on our last night that we were able to take advantage of it. it was so nice and cozy. I just can't say enough about this place. I travel a lot, and this is the best place I have ever stayed. if I go back to ABQ, I will definitely be planning to stay here again!

Wake Up to Sandia and Balloons – It Can’t Get Any Better Than This!

  • 5 of 5

This has to be the most beautiful home available to rent in ABQ and the the best owners to work with! This huge home has a spectacular view of the Sandias and is convenient to most everything. The neighbors are friendly (both the two and four legged ones) and the area seems very safe and clean and quiet. It is very nicely decorated and has all the “sundries” you could possibly need from dog toys to paper towel to lotion and rubber ducks. It was spotless and we really appreciated all the local brochures and travel guides. Beds are super comfortable and there are plenty of pillows to choose from. The layout is great for families and friends traveling together so everyone has their own space (LR, DR, KIT, Master and ½ bath up / 2 bedrooms, full bath and den down). Every morning but one we were treated to hot air ballons floating right past the house – 12 on one day alone! Hummingbirds show up daily; would be great to have a feeder or a trumpet vine. It is a quick jaunt to Olde Town (a must visit) and less than an hour to Santa Fe. Nicolle and Robert are the best hosts; on the ball with eveything, providing suggestions if you need them and getting things taken care of at the speed of sound! We can’t think of a single thing to complain about (well, except that the house isn’t for sale J ). We thoroughly enjoyed or visit and can’t wait to come back again!

5 Star Welcome and Accomodation

  • 5 of 5

An "over the top" welcome to a beautiful home! Champagne chilling and snacks when we arrived so we could actually stop, relax, and begin our vacation with a toast. Nicolle and Robert surely have traveled a lot, and from their experiences, they stocked the house with every imaginable amenity one could ever want. Their home truly felt like "our home" for the week, and we nestled right in. I personally soaked in the views of the Sandia Mountains and city; waking early each morning to enjoy coffee on the balcony while viewing the sun rising along with spectacular hot air balloons...unwinding each evening with a glass of wine mesmerized by the twinkling city lights. A true highlight of the vacation!

The neighborhood is quiet, seemingly safe, and many sites are within minutes with easy access to highways and major thoroughfares.

Beds are layered for comfort and whole house A/C is definitely a plus as we faced 95-100 degree days. The kitchen cabinets are filled with beautiful glassware and dishes and everyday necessities for food prep needs.

I could easily go on and on, but you can sense that this house, and the warm welcoming and attention to detail that Nicolle and Robert extend, is unexpected and exceptional!

You will not be disappointed! Jan

Amazing experience!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at La Vista for four nights at the end of May. It is the perfect place to stay and convenient to everything you would want to see or do in Albuquerque!! The view of the Sandia mountains is extraordinary and at sunset you can watch the city lights come up. We had the good fortune to be there to see the beautiful full moon rise as well. La Vista is extremely comfy, cozy, and clean. It is wonderfully furnished with an amazing array of artwork and antiques. Nicolle and Robert have thought of everything you might need during your stay, including an etremely well stocked pantry! It felt like home from the moment we walked in. We wholeheartedly recommend La Vista!!

An Albuquerque find!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at La Vista was all we had hoped for in a rental property. Nicolle and Robert provided deft touches that enhanced the experience, such as a refrigerator stocked with water, condiments, butter and jam,and a welcoming taste of New Mexico that included a bottle of champagne! Their restaurant recommendations and shopping locations were extremely helpful as they were written as full blown reviews. We, three friends who have been doing this for the past ten years, found La Vista to be a gem.

The Ritz Carlton of VRBO's!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in many, many VRBO rentals over the years. Usually it is furnished with the owners second hand furniture, old pots and pans, broken or chipped dinnerware, etc. This was the most amazing home I have ever stayed in. Everything was 5 star, top notch. The house was so well appointed that I felt like I was at an expensive resort. Nothing you could have wanted was left out. Even down to hair dryers, spa robes, and make up mirrors (who thinks of that?!) Anything you could possibly want, or forgot to bring, was available to you, if you needed it, including over the counter medications, toothbrushes, lotions, hair products, you name it. The beds were luxurious with high quality bedding, the towels were plush, the furniture was comfortable and very stylish, the outdoor areas were amazing and well appointed. The views of the Sandia Mountains were breathtaking, and we did indeed see hot air balloons every day we were there, except for one day with HIGH winds. The location is perfect too. You are within a few minutes of the Petroglyphs, the Railrunner Train station (which we used to have a relaxing trip up to Santa Fe), downtown Old Albuquerque, the airport, the University of New Mexico and Sandia Casino and Resort. I do not have enough great things to say about this vacation rental and Nicolle and Robert. I would, without hesitation, highly recommend this. Our girls getaway was made even better by staying at this amazing house! If we are ever in the area again, we will positively stay here again. A+++++++++++++++++++

It is a city with a rich history famous for its multiculturalism reflected in its public art, museums and architecture. The Albuquerque experience is not man-made or contrived.
