Nice accommodations with easy access to hiking and historical sites in the area.

The cottage was nicely situated. A private spot in a wooded glen. The rooms were clean and the space was efficient. When we arrived it was hot and humid and the cottage was closed up so it was very stuffy. There aren't screens in all of the windows so it took quite a bit of time to cool. Also, if you have any mobility problems, the stairs are steep are a bit hard to negotiate.

Adorable cottage!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I absolutely loved our stay at he Herb Cottage. It's very charming and well appointed. The location was great, and while it's a short trip to town, there aren't many sidewalks on the way, so it wouldn't be safe to walk in the dark. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Quaint, cozy, private but in the mix of things

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Herb Cottage. Woodstock is such a charming town and it was fun to see the changes going on since our first visit, new restaurants and stores, etc. When it comes to outdoor beauty, it can't be beat. The lake and wooded areas are lovely and it's always fun to see wildlife. The Cottage is immaculate, very comfortable with tons of movies and books to keep everyone occupied on rainy days. Love the Saturday flea market and Catskill Pizza can't be beat. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Great little hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a great mini-moon staying at the Herb Cottage. It was very hot and muggy when we arrived but it was cool and comfortable in the cottage for the entirety of our stay. The sleeping loft was adorable - I loved how cozy it felt. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and living space and were able to spend days in or explore the local sights in Woodstock.

The only downside was how low the ceilings were - my husband had to pay close attention to make sure he didn't knock his head as he came down the stairs from the sleeping loft.
