Great spot for our family

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property this past week. It was very clean and the owner Helen was very flexible and responsive to our questions. The early part of our stay was a bit drizzly and we appreciated having a few extra umbrellas on hand to use. Being newbies to the Metro scene, I was a bit worried, but the stop is close by and an easy walk. Helen, the owner, left great instructions and resources to help us look at during our downtime so we could plan/adjust our next tourist stops. This location was perfect for our family of 4. Thank you so much for a great stay!

The property was everything it said it was.

It was a very nice place to stay. Close to Metro, a grocery store, and the baseball stadium. Very convenient to our needs. We like the idea of a clothes washer and dryer - did not have to pack that many clothes.

Great property and good location

  • 5 of 5

Property is the first floor townhouse; has comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. There is a bbq in the patio. The area is a little run down but my two older sons, my husband and I walked to transporation or for food every day and had no problems. We would definitely stay here again if we visit again.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

This 2 bedroom condo worked well for my family. I traveled with my father and my two children. It is in walking distance to a grocery store and the metro. Had a problem with the secure door with a keypad when it was really cold out, but we found if we cupped it in our hands to warm it up it would cooperate. It worked well for our needs for the week.

Great location for visiting DC

  • 4 of 5

Up front, props to the owner. We had a minor mishap walking in the door and she went out of her way to make it right! So know that you're in good hands here.

We came for spring break with 2 teenagers, and 2 adults. There are 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. So everyone gets a spot. The mattresses were pretty hard, made sleeping hard with sore hips each night. If you know you're sleep number, these are upwards of 120! I'd come back here all day long if the owner would invest in the bedding. The neighborhood is located between two Metro stations, both on the same line (one is below a Safeway which is handy). It's about a 3-5 minute walk. That particular line runs right into the heart of DC. You won't need to drive anywhere. I would recommend starting at the Navy Yard Metro station if you're new to riding subways. Mr. Simms has been running that station for 5 years and he is very friendly and helpful getting you started on your journey!

The neighborhood is a diverse place, nice folks, perfectly safe. Downside is it gets noisy at night, and there's a fire station across the street; so pro and con there. Good news there weren't any fires after midnight for us!

We weren't here for the start of baseball season, but the stadium is right there, that's one of the highlights of this location. There's not a better spot for baseball.

So, overall; great site, well located, easy to get to everything with the Metro, and with a grocery store just a block-ish away you've got everything you need for a nice stay.

Best owner and tenant above who has now become family!

  • 5 of 5

This is a one of a kind place to stay with plenty of room and the most welcoming environment. I you do not book this home you are making a huge mistake. They have thought of everything and I mean everything. Please do not stay here if you are a slob by nature because the home doesn't deserve you! The owners and their tenant about were the best and so easy to communicate with. Loved this place and will return to stay again!
