clean and tidy property relatively close to metro and 30 minute walk to the Mall. Ground floor apartment with people living above. Coded door locks can be a bit temperamental at times needing 2-3 goes to get in.
My husband and I (in our 60's) were in Washington for 4 nights...this was a great location. Spacious for 2 people...could easily accommodate a family of 4. The apartment was very clean. Kitchen was very well stocked - and Safeway was a few blocks away. We are walkers so got around on foot most days, but the subway is close by.
The area felt safe when we were out and was quiet at night.
Helen was available to answer any questions in a timely manner...access from main highways is really quick. Would highly recommend.
We went to DC for a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) of museums and monuments site seeing and this location was perfect. Very clean and neat and well appointed. The rooms were comfortable, good beds and bedding and the little patio in the back was great to have a little outdoor space for our morning coffee. We did not have a car and Ubered everywhere which was very convenient. Also walking distance from the National Mall, great restaurants down by the water in The Yards and also close to grocery stores and Metro stops. All of our Uber drivers told us the SW area is very up and coming and it felt that way, great location. The neighbors we spoke to were all friendly and welcoming.
Helen was great and let us get in early on Thursday since our flight landed in the morning, we were able to drop our bags and hit the sites. Would definitely stay here again!
This place was perfect for our family of four. We did not rent a car, so we used the Metro to get everywhere we needed to go. The Mall was a short two stop ride away, which was fast and convenient. There is a grocery store just 3 short blocks away (right above a Metro Station). It was very convenient to stop in and grab whatever we needed.
If you're looking to go to a baseball game, this is the place to stay as it's walking distance to the stadium (just a few short blocks away).
The apartment was great for our family. It had everything we required and was very clean, comfortable and secure. The location made accessing the Mall very easy, being just a short distance from the Navy Yard Metro. We jogged to the Capitol Building one day and walked to the mall another time and found this to be a good way to go if you have plenty of time and energy.
Helen was very accommodating and responded to all my requests and questions promptly and I appreciate that.
Would definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Washington.
We stayed for a week & found the property to be exactly as advertised.
It is in a great location, close to two Metro stops & a Safeways.
It was one of the best stocked properties we have stayed in.
The only item we did not find was a basket to place the washing in after it was dried.
Although we did not eat at any of the local restaurants there are many in the area.
Finally a tip for the Metro when returning back to the unit - Use the Navy Yard - Ballpark Metro Station & stay
in the rear of the train. Then use the exit to the left when you get out. This will give you the most protected (from the weather)
& shortest walk back.
We will definitely try to stay here if we visit Washington again.
