Place was nice and cozy. It's location was perfect to see many waterfalls. The Gorge State Park had several nice hikes. Over all had a great time.
This review is long over due! I had a long stay here over last winter & it was just what I needed! It's a nice, cozy little community & this condo truly has one of the best views in the area. The condo was well equipped, very comfortable & cozy! Terry & associates were responsive, accommodating & helpful where possible through my stay. Beautiful, Gorges State Park, is just around the corner with all the waterfalls and hiking one could ask for with Rangers around if needed plus much more beyond if you care to wander. Thank you Terry!
The condo is cute and very functional with everything hing you need. The view from the porch is magnificent. You can see about 125 miles of mountains. My 2 daughters and I really enjoyed our stay.
The views from this condo were awesome. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Thanks Terry for the loan of your condo. I would definitely recommend this property.
Awesome place to relax and enjoy the mountains either on the enclosed porch with some coffee in the morning or get out hiking in the nearby State and National Parks. We certainly took advantage of the many trails close by some were easily accessible others required some hiking and moderate trail difficulty. It was nice to come back to this cozy condo at the end of the day and enjoy the pool. We saved money by visiting a Food Lion and cooking the majority of our meals at the condo or on the gas grill provided at the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and everything was well maintained and modern. We had twin preteens on our trip and we were all very comfortable. A pull out bed was available with a folding privacy wall. The condo is well equipped for a small family with tv/roku and games for downtime. Overall this was an economical vacation for this family of 4. I would recommend taking the drive to Asheville to take in the hippie culture. We went to an Asheville Tourists baseball game and enjoyed people watching in the downtown area. At the end of the week we felt our stay was too short with much more we wanted to do. This area and specifically this condo are on our list for next summer. I have already recommended this condo to many friends and coworkers.
This was truly an amazing mountain getaway. The home is charming, welcoming and fully-equipped for cooking every night, beautifully decorated and the views left me in awe. Close to many NC hiking/waterfall, antique and art venues. I can hardly wait to schedule my next trip! Well worth checking out if you just want to 'get away'.

Transylvania County may be short on Disneyesque costumed characters, but its storybook charm and opportunities for adventure have delighted the young — and the young at heart — for over a century. It’s a natural amusement park with thrilling rides, magical scenery, interesting wildlife, hands-on arts and education, a killer toy store in the center of downtown Brevard and what might possibly be the best natural waterside around – Sliding Rock.
Lake Toxaway is Western North Carolina’s largest private lake, located at a 3010 foot elevation. With 14 miles of shoreline and 640 acres, this lake has pristine, drinkable quality water. The lake boasts a constant water level achieved by over a hundred streams and springs that fed the lake. Even in the extreme and exceptional drought of 2007 our water level was at full pool. Lake Toxaway is popular for boating, fishing, skiing, sailing and many other water sports. This private lake does not allow jet skis.
Lake Toxaway is surrounded by State and National Forests and Parks. Bordering the 5000 acres of Lake Toxaway Estates is the 10,000 acre Panthertown Valley Wilderness Area, part of the Nantahala National Forest, the 11,000 acre Gorges State Park, and the Pisgah National Forest. All of these parks and forest offer abundant opportunities to hike, view waterfalls, mountain bike, fly fish, camp and even hunt.
Ideally located halfway between Cashiers and Brevard - famous for the Brevard Music Festival and just over an hour to the Biltmore Estates in Asheville.
Historic Hendersonville is just 45 minutes away featuring the Flat Rock Playhouse.
Between the forests, the rivers, the lakes and the waterfalls, there are countless sites for family camping, picnicking, cycling and just letting young imaginations run wild. And if that isn’t enough to entice the child in your backseat, perhaps they just need to spend a little time with the salamanders over at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education or get the lowdown on Saturn’s Rings up at P.A.R.I. Crafty kids will appreciate family-friendly classes at several of the studios located on the 276 Art tour, including Mud Dabbers. And almost every single one of Transylvania County’s festivals has dedicated kid space and more things to excite your favorite elementary-schooler than she could shake a pixie-stick at. So when you’re planning your next family vacation, the question is not, 'What can the kids do?' but 'How can we possibility do it all?'
