About Sabrina

These are my dogs Bella and Greta. I bought the cabin in 2012 thinking we would have our weekends to relax in the mountains. Unfortunately, we do not have enough free time to visit and thought we would share it with others.

Sabrina purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Sabrina chose North Georgia Mountains

We looked at many properties in Coosawattee but finally stumbled upon this one by accident. We just knew that this cabin was going to be our mountain home away from home.

What makes this cabin unique

They main attraction to this cabin besides all of the amenities on the property is the rolling creek that flows down the middle of our property. It is quite tranquil and mesmerizing to be sitting on the porch, on the deck or by the fire listening to the sound of the current.

Peaceful Place

  • 4 of 5

My daughters and I enjoyed our stay at Lemmon Drop Cabin. The weather was beautiful with very low to no humidity and it was a really nice reprieve from the sweltering Florida humidity and high temps. What we liked most was the peaceful setting of the woods behind the cabin and the sounds of the babbling brook that runs alongside the property and the relaxing hot tub on the back deck. We spotted a lot of deer families just about everywhere in the community each time we went outside and took a drive throughout the resort. The other feature my daughters enjoyed was the fire pit in the back yard where they roasted marshmallows and made smores each evening. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the brook too and it was a big enough area and very private so they had plenty of space to play and exercise. The cabin is very clean and decorated nicely with a modern well stocked kitchen and everything worked. We had no issues with the cabin itself and we had no issues with the internet once we were logged in.

We opted to pay the additional fees for the use of the other community amenities at the recreation center. We loved the indoor pool and the fitness center and my daughters enjoyed the game room as well. It is a nice option to have if you are traveling with children or teenagers.

Negatives: I no longer have a Netflix account so that was not an option for us, however I do have a Hulu account so I had to use my own account info to log in. Just remember to remove your account information before you leave the cabin.

The driveway is situated off of steep winding down turns from the main road where most cars drive rather fast coming down the mountain and the driveway is on a very steep incline and with gravel. This makes it challenging to get out onto the main road but once you get used to it, it isn't too horrible, just be extra cautious.

Overall this was a very nice community and we had a 'no-hassel, pleasant experience and Sabrina was very quick to respond to my inquiries prior to our arrival. Directions and instructions were very helpful. If you have a small family and travel with furry friends I highly recommend this cabin.

Cute little cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was lovely, the babbling brook was delightful. The location is convenient to Ellijay and Blue Ridge, which are darling little towns. There need to be more comfortable seating and lighting in the livingroom. I suggested this to Sabrina, and she said she would work on it. Sabrina was wonderful to work with, very responsive.

Extra Cute and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we rented one of Sabrina's cabins. We stayed at the Hideaway on Hampton last time. Like the Hideaway. The Lemmon Drop was everything we had hoped it would be. We needed a larger space for our children to join us and it was perfect. The location was great. The CRR is a wonderful community with lots of amenities. We enjoyed cooking on the back deck and watching the deer run through the woods behind the secluded cabin. Our dogs came with us for this visit too. They enjoyed playing in the cool water of the private creek. I would recommend this cabin for families and couples. Sabrina is always prompt with her attention to questions and booking. We will definitely be back to this cabin in the fall.

Hope to visit again soon!

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky to find this wonderful cabin for a mini vacation on our way to Florida. We had our dogs with us and really enjoyed the secluded setting away from the road. The creek was so peaceful and the hot tub was just the right temperature. We liked that the back deck was private where the grill and hot tub were located. You could tell that this cabin is well maintained and cared for. We enjoyed using the indoor pool at the recreation center and visited the Animal Rescue near the country store. We hope to visit again in the summer on our way back home. Working with the owner was very easy and she was always available for our touristy questions. We will recommend this cabin to our friends and family.

Beautiful Cabin and Lot with Constant Sounds of the Creek

  • 4 of 5

The owner is fantastic to work with and went out of their way to resolve any issue.

New propane grill. All appliances were perfect.

Screened porch facing creek with constant sounds of the bubbling creek.

Our dog spent all day playing in the creek with his jolly ball and it was a short (hilly) walk to the beautiful river bank.

The 'couches' were extremely uncomfortable. When we sat down we could feel the springs and support beams on your bottom and back and there are no arm rests. We wanted to spend time relaxing on the couch with a good book but couldn't stand to sit there long. The outdoor furniture was more comfortable.

The cabin is very close to the main road. Construction vehicles were rolling by all day and residents drive by quickly. Headlights are noticeable at night.

No sidewalk and narrow road so plan on driving within the resort. Drivers come around the turns very quickly and there is little to no shoulder.

The location is very convenient, just over an hour from Atlanta Georgia. The resort is about 5-10 minutes from the interstate and then another 5-10 minutes of winding roads to the cabin. The resort entrance is gated with an attendant and made a good impression for safety. The roads are all paved and the short driveway is gravel on a slight downhill but my AWL sedan had no trouble. 'Check-in' was very easy and the cabin was clean and tidy upon our arrival. There are plenty of nearby grocery, gas, CVS (with Redbox) and other food stores to choose from for any needs. We ran over to Ingles to get our food for our stay. Our dog was thrilled with his stay, we made sure to bring bowls, towels, and indoor fabric crate for him. Make sure to have your dog on tick prevention as there were TONS (duh, it's the woods). There is a hose on the back deck that we used to clean the dog after play time in the creek or river. There is LOTS of poison ivy/oak that should maybe be treated and cut down from the trees periodically. The fire pit seating is nice and comfortable but most of the plastic chairs were broken in places. The hot tub is top quality and worked perfect. The AC was extremely efficient and kept us cool at night. The washer and dryer was great for keeping our clothes and towels clean for reuse. The only change I'd recommend to the owner is to consider upgrade the uncomfortable couches to be more cozy for sitting by the fireplace, watching TV (Netflix provided and DVD player), or reading a book.

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very well appointed cabin with lots of extras. Were booked our vacation in advance and were very happy to find such a clean, updated cabin. Our dogs enjoyed the creek and the wooded lot for exploring. We cooked all of our meals in the cabin and enjoyed the outdoor fire-pit for evening s'mores. Our experience with the owner was very easy and the key was located very conveniently. We will definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and family.
