We just returned from our stay at Rainbow Cove. The property is amazing and we absolutely LOVED our vacation!! Andrea and Cole took great care of all our needs during our stay. Every room has a perfect view of the beautiful Caribbean. It was such a dream to be able to open the doors, feel the ocean breeze and hear the waves every day. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away this is an excellent choice.
Rainbow Cove is about a 25 minute drive to most everything. In exchange for the drive you get a tropical paradise with every amenity you can imagine. During our week at Rainbow Cove we enjoyed everything from sipping morning coffee listening to the ocean, the plunge pools, the perfectly manicured tropical landscape, grilling out with an ocean view and awesome evenings star gazing. Cramer Park beach is about 10 minutes away and made for a great afternoon. Be sure to go to Point Udall for breathtaking views of the Caribbean! Shopping and lunch in Christiansted was a highlight as well as a tour of the Cruzan Rum Factory.
If you are looking for a place to relax and get away you won’t be disappointed. We have only been home a few weeks and are already thinking about a trip back to St Croix and another stay at Rainbow Cove!

My family of four just returned from Rainbow Cove for Spring Break. We absolutely loved it! But let me start off by saying the RC and St Croix, in general, is not for everyone. If you are looking for an island of high rise resorts and loud beach parties, then I suggest you avoid. Instead this place is a natural tropical paradise inhabited with happy locals who largely go to bed early. Also, it is a large island where visitors may have to redefine what the word convenience means. But it was for these reasons that we LOVED it!
I would not recommend RC for any visitor who does not have a rental car. Most everything is at least 20 minutes away on a winding road. But in exchange for this distance, this villa offers magnificent star-filled skies. It is located on a bluff overlooking the azure waters of the Caribbean. My wife and I would sip coffee each morning on the patio and count the turtles floating below. There is a tree by the pool that is home to a family of iguanas who bask the day away on its limbs. The landscaping is like a botanical garden complete with colorful flowers, cacti, hummingbirds, and hermit crabs. There are two sets of steps that descend down to a rocky beach. While only one of these staircases is functional at the moment, with a little caution, you can snorkel right off this little beach. We saw turtles, rays, barracuda, and plenty of coral heads all before breakfast.
We included the cottage as part of our rental. This casita includes a small kitchenette, living room, full bath and plunge pool. Up some narrow steps is a bedroom loft. This bedroom may best be suited for teenage children or a young couple due to the narrow steps.
The main house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The kitchen is furnished with Viking appliances and all modern amenities. We used the gas grill whose vista is incredible.
The two bedrooms come with all soft linens and fluffy towels as well as beach towels. The main living area is comfortable and extremely well furnished. For those rainy days you can dial in satellite TV.
Some of our favorite nearby activities included a sunrise at Point Udall which is only 10 min away. From that same location, you can hike to Isaac Beach which is GORGEOUS! Bring sunscreen, good shoes, and your snorkel.
My family of 6 (me, my wife, & 4 children in their 20's) spent Christmas 2017 at this glorious villa. Everything was top notch, despite the two Cat 5 Hurricanes that hit 90 days prior. While there is still evidence of "The Wrath of Maria" on the island, St. Croix is bouncing back quickly. Very green and pretty. Iguanas basking in the sun, flowers everywhere, deer sightings at dusk, etc. We ate delicious food and multiple restaurants (my favorite was "Blue Water Terrace"), saw beautiful beaches (my favorites were Jack and Issacs), and we got to see sunrise at Point Udall on Christmas morning, which was breathtaking! A very special week. We will return.
Thank you for the wonderful response. So happy that you and your family were able to spend the holidays at our home. You have amazing respect for the island and someone else's home! Could not believe the shape you left the home in and how incredibly conscious of water usage and utilities on an island. Stellar guests :) cannot wait to have you back.

The place was just right. It was clean, everything worked, the view was breathtaking, and it was quiet. We would stay there again if we came back to St. Croix.
Thank you so much! Hope you come back and visit soon.

The avalanche of 5-star reviews are all true. This place is simply amazing. We've rented at least 25 homes on VRBO over the years and this one is by far our new favorite. While the 4 of us, 2 couples, loved our time on the island doing various tourist things, we all would sigh with delight whenever we got back to within sight of the house. It was by far the highlight of the trip for us. The views can't be beat and are available from every room in the house, the layout offers privacy for couples traveling together, the plunge pools are awesome for cooling off and relaxing with an adult beverage, marine life watching becomes an addictive compulsion (turtles, rays, numerous fish and even a few reef sharks), BBQing is a welcomed event in this surrounding and the sound of the waves crashing on rocks below is the perfect bedtime lullaby. It's truly a slice of heaven on earth. Andrea was fantastic. Our travel plans turned into a comical farce but she stayed in contact with us the entire time and made multiple trips to the airport to get us all to the house. She stocked the house with provisions as promised and stayed in touch the entire stay offering advice and responding to any and all of our questions. Kelsey too was a delight and responded quickly to any questions we had. Both are top notch. We know already that we'll be back. If you're looking for a place to calm the soul, this is it and it's a bargain at this price. Go and enjoy.....
PS- Some previous reviews noted issues with snorkeling at house. My two cents. Yes stairs are steep, water can be a bit rough and Sea urchins are there. All that said, I went several times and had no issues. Simply be careful on the steps and watch where you step when accessing the water. I had a great time snorkeling there though those damn turtles kept hiding from me whenever I'd get in the water!
Other things we enjoyed:
Point Udall - Need to see the sunrise.
Jack & Isaac Bay Preserve- Worth the hike! Awesome snorkeling off beach. Complete solitude.
Buck Island- Good snorkeling and rum punch.
The Pier at Fredricksted- More good snorkeling off the beach
Ziggys- Awesome Sunday brunch
East End Pizza- Very good and really close to house.
Cheeseburger in Paradise- Turth in advertising. Great burger, great atmosphere.
Blue Water Tavern- Great food and awesome desserts.
Botanical Garden- Beautiful place.
Shoys Beach- Very serene and quiet.
Renaissance & Bucanneer Resorts- Beaches with amenities available.
Greg and guests,
This is exactly as how we spend our vacation when we visit our own home and so glad you could experience it as well do! Thank you so much for the wonderful response. Hope to see you back in the islands soon.

My family and I absolutely loved this spot! Truly a slice of paradise.
We couldn't have asked for a better spot on St Croix! Andrea (the concierge) met us at the airport and led us to the house, which was about a 35 minute drive. The property is just as amazing as it looks in the photos. We wanted to keep all the kids (not really kids- all in their twenties) together in the main house, so my husband and I took the guest house. While not as nice as the main house, it was functional and the views were just as amazing! It wouldn't be suitable for those with mobility issues as the stairs to the bedroom loft are quite steep. For us it was perfect, and we enjoyed having our own little pool. As for the main house- very nice size living area with dining room table. Both bedrooms have beautiful views. We made much use of the kitchen as we cooked at home every night. We also used the grill several times. Most evenings we ate at the outdoor dining table. That was our favorite spot to eat, relax and talk about our day! The steps down to the water are a bit steep and the "beach" very rocky. I'd suggest bringing water shoes if possible.
Activities: Hiked from Point Udall down to Isaac's Bay- so scenic and very close to the house.
We did the day time kayak tour with Bryan of Virgin Kayak- excellent!
Snorkeling with Big Beards out at Buck Island - excellent (even though I was a bit seasick)!
ATV tour with Gecko Island- a lot of fun but the trails were extremely rough in some areas.
When we were done with the ATVs we ate across the street at Rythyms on Rainbow Beach. We loved this spot! You should go if you can. Great food and atmosphere. Bring your bathing suit!
We also ordered out from East End Pizza which is in the Divi Resort (close to the house). It was surprisingly good! A very good option if you don't feel like cooking one night.
All in all we thoughroughly enjoyed this property and the island of St Croix.
Best advice I received- leave your car UNLOCKED with no valuables inside. Otherwise you may be dealing with broken windows while parked in a touristy area.
What a wonderful and thoughtful review. Thanks for sending information about the area and the great time you had at the home. So glad you had such a great time and would love to have you back anytime!
