We just recently stayed at Rainbow Cove and couldn't be happier with our choice! Every morning we would see Sea Turtles swim by, the occasional flying Sting Rays (not kidding, so cool to see) and of course Iguana's. It's in a great location and even though there are other properties near by it felt very secluded.
We were met at the airport by Andrea (very nice) and after we retrieved our luggage and car rental followed her to Rainbow Cove. After she showed everything we headed to the grocery store to stock up. Word of warning be sure to check what is already at the property before going to the grocery (we ended up buying coffee filters, seasonings, cooking oil etc.) all of which was already there. I guess in the end it all works out since we used some things we had forgot to pick up and left things we didn't end up using.
It's only a short walk to the Divi Carina Bay Casino and Resort and a short Drive to the Blue Water Terrace, Ziggy's, and Deep End for places to eat.
I will say we were fairly fortunate that most of the time it was breezy which kept the bugs away. The last day or 2 we were there the breeze died down a bit and the bugs came out, but if you use spray they are really not that bad.
All in all it was a great vacation and it all started with having a great place to call our home away from home for the week!

The house was exactly as pictured, with the exception of a remodeled master bath. We thourougly enjoyed all of the decks and pools. The kitchen was fantastic, and we used it 90% of our stay. I would definitely rent this property again.
We've rented quite a few very nice VRBOs, and this is by far our favorite. This is a truly special villa - if you're intrigued by the pictures, let me assure you, you'll be even more impressed with your first impression in person. Andrea, our concierge, made our trip especially great, suggesting lots of activities and places to eat. We also rented snorkel gear from her which she delivered and then picked up at the end of our stay. Some of the best marine life is right outside your door here - and that's after having taken a trip to Buck Island. So if you're debating the extra cost of a beach front villa, we would say it's well worth it (if the gorgeous home and grounds don't already compel you). For a small additional fee, we also rented the cottage so the teenage kids could have individual living spaces - very worthwhile. Our favorite activity away from the villa was a kayaking trip to the bio-luminescent bay with Bush Tribe Co. They did a great job of talking about the history and ecology of the area and the 'biobay' is simply amazing. If you are looking for a great Cuban sandwich, Ziggies (just a short drive from the villa), has amazing food. Skip the Blue Water Terrace unless you like paying a lot for poor service and food - contrary to many of the recent reviews we found on the place. The botanical garden is beautiful and has some great ruins as well.
We spent more than we had originally budgeted to stay in this villa, but I promise if you're on the fence, you won't be sorry. Well appointed all-around, a kitchen with all the amenities, beautiful architecture and a secure and secluded location - we never even saw our neighbors! Great sand beach a short walk from the house that's perfect for swimming as well. No issues at all during our stay. Beautiful!
Most challenging part of our trip? Learning to drive on the left!
We were met at the airport and escorted to the house by Andrea. Andrea was fantastic in making sure we had everything we needed and giving us recommendations on where to get groceries and what restaurants to go to. House was better than we expected. Great location with great restaurants nearby. Island is very easy to get around. There were six adults and we were very comfortable. We will be back!
Two of us stayed here for a week - really amazing home. We used the pool every afternoon/early-evening after spending the day at the beach or exploring he island. Before our trip we were concerned that the home seemed kind of remote but everything is very close by. Even getting to the west coast of the island is a short drive. There are some excellent restaurants in Christensted for meals and lots to do in the area. Our greeter who met us at the airport and showed us the place was wonderful. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We had a wonderful week at the home. The house is very comfortable and clean! The view is more than amazing. It was so nice to lay at the pool overlooking the sea. We did see the sea turtles and had some iguanas come for a visit. We loved the simplicity of the island and this home made our stay amazing.
