Enjoy the beautiful view and a 200 yard walk to Corporation Beach from the comfort of a 4 bedroom, 2 bath beach house, with a roof deck and an outdoor shower. Walk back and forth from the beach at your leisure. Easy access to the Village of Dennis for shopping, casual and fine dining, antiquing, art galleries, concerts on the Green, and the Cape Playhouse and Cinema. Nearby golf, tennis, biking, fishing, sailing, and hiking. Fresh water Scargo Lake with historic Scargo Tower, Sesuit Harbor and Marina are close by.
We've stayed at this cozy delight every year since 1998. I always look forward to being on the Cape and right across the street from Corporation Beach. It's great to be close to the ocean, Dennis Village, and the casual or fine dining restaurants. The house has all of the comforts of my own home and is well suited for family and good friends. The open living room, dining room, kitchen and deck areas are fantastic for get togethers, while the beach bums have it made with the ocean's water less than a block away. Lobster roasts have become a tradition. You'll enjoy using the outdoor shower to rinse after going to the beach and for your regular shower. I've only showered once inside the house in all the different seasons I've stayed here. It's very private and is fun in any kind of weather. The owners are native to the Cape and they do an excellent job of keeping the house in great shape. I was back there in May and the whole house had been painted and upgraded. We always remember the local one of a kind places. Captain Frosty's (like a Cape Cod style DQ), Grumpy's for breakfast and Sesuit Harbor Cafe for lobster rolls. Check out the Brewster General Store for a look at the past, the herring run and grist mill, Scargo Tower, the Indian Burial grounds and other historic locations. By the way, the house has one of very few widow's walk (the observation deck on the roof) in the area from which you have an unbelievable view of the ocean and the neighborhood. I wish I owned the house.
For the last eleven summers, my wife and I have spent a lovely, laid-back week at this terrific house. We wake, walk one block and stroll half-mile-long, white-sand Corporation Beach. Then we hike 15 minutes to Grumpy's, for the best breakfast on the Cape. Upon our return, we climb to the crow's-nest roof deck, plop into chairs, take in the panoramic view of the bay and loll away the morning. Afternoons, we drive ten minutes to the Mid-Cape Bicycle Trail, rent a bicycle for two, and pedal away. For those seven vacation days, New York seems a million miles away. The owners are attentive and friendly, and keep their home in perfect condition. The extra, outdoor shower is a bonus. The house is ideally located -- a corner plot, minutes from an art house movie theater, good restaurants, art galleries and several great lobster roll joints. We've never even considered looking for another place to stay. No way could we do better.
About 200 yards from Corporation Beach on Cape Cod Bay, you can walk back and forth from the beach whenever you like. You can watch the sun set over the ocean from the beach or the roof deck. Easy access to Dennis Village with summer band concerts, the Cape Cod Playhouse and the Cape Cod Museum of Art and Theatre Marketplace. Great restaurants, shopping, tennis courts, golf courses, walking paths, bike trails, fishing, antique and art stores make this the perfect area for your vacation.
