About Sarah Luck Pearson, Reservations Manager

Owners of the property, husband wife, occupy a large 'Old Tahoe' home on same lot as the rental apartment, but assure guests of complete privacy from the main home. As a painter and actor couple, they take deep sustained inspiration from the great Lake Tahoe and are happy to share this special property that has been in the family for 83 years.

Sarah Luck Pearson, Reservations Manager purchased this apartment in 1927

Why Sarah Luck Pearson, Reservations Manager chose Lake Forest

In 1927, the grandparents of the husband purchased 4 lake front lots and built a large summer home on the 2 main lots. Therefore privacy is afforded the main house and the rental apartment because of the vacant lot on one side of the buildings.

What makes this apartment unique

Privacy, comfort. Access to lakefront beach (not dock). Additional "Glamp Site" lakefront lot for rent with large luxery queen bed Tee Pee, deck, camp kitchen, hammocks, and above lake lounge area.

Event and wedding site (Apartment is included)

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our time spent at Tahoe Studio was delightful. The location, grounds, views, and amenities were lovely. The pier, beach, vistas spectacular.

The Studio is beautiful and creatively designed to accommodate two or three people. We had a special time because our two little grandsons loved it, especially sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags. Hide and Seek was perfect; walks on the beach lovely. Relaxing on the pier was perfect.

Our hosts, the Brays, were generous and helpful. I have recommended Tahoe Studio to my friends and hope they visit and enjoy it as much as we did. We plan to return as soon as we can!

A very lovely cottage feel, historical, cozy, we rode our bikes everywhere from the location, wonderful hosts, just a very great getaway; tidy comfortable... studio doesn't feel like quite the term to use, feels nicer than that :)

not so good experience

  • 2 of 5

The place had SPIDERS. i saw 2 brown recluse and killed one. Also, the air filter seemed like it has not been changed from many years. i could see thick dark grey dust at intake mesh. Also, the electrical appliance kept getting tripped when only one of them was used, be it be oven or the hot plate. Also, the place itself had just 2 small windows and one side window and windows were placed and being in the studio felt like one is a box totally cut off from surrounding.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

It was everything with expected. It's a small place, but a great location and a nice area to walk, access the water, and easy driving to town. We appreciated being able to bring her dog and not being hit with a big cleaning fee. It had everything we needed, and we would come again. The biggest face is definitely in the bedroom, so if you're looking for a place to hang out in the living area, don't count not here. But again, it's exactly as described and we had a really nice stay!

Delightful cottage

  • 5 of 5

I needed a get away from a long summer of home renovations. Boy was I glad I found this place. I was absolutely enchanted with this adorable and quaint cottage and it continued to please my senses every moment I stayed there. As much as I love my own home, I couldn't help but just want to never leave the perfect space Darlene and Warren created under those beautiful gigantic sugar pines. My only wish was that I had booked more nights to stay. It was very quiet and peaceful and even my dog was completely comfortable which she is usually the pooch who would rather go back home. There are many good hikes in the area, but we decided to just stay close to the cottage and walk in the park south of the property. Many people left comments in the guest book saying the cottage was a little "slice in heaven" and I couldn't agree more! Thank you for being the best host one could ever hope for. We will return!

Cute studio hideaway with an incredible private pier!

  • 5 of 5

The girlfriend and I were looking for a beautiful secluded place where we could spend some peaceful time together. The studio delivered on all fronts.

Nestled next to a handful of houses deep in a pine forest, the studio is peaceful and cozy, the perfect size for a couple. The kitchen provides you with everything you could possibly need bar an oven which we didn't miss at all thanks to the bbq out front. The bedroom is beautifully decorated with a large comfy bed and TV, cable and DVD player for those rainy days.

The highlight of the studio flat is the private pier that leads out into the lake. We spent hours sun bathing and jumping into the lake, it was pure bliss. The area is residential so we hardly saw any boats or anything to disturb us.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who want's to get away for a chilled couple of days

Thanks for the stay!

Cottage is cozy, cute and clean. Very convenient. Main challenge is that the cottage is tiny and there is NO outside space, deck, etc. that is available to the renter and NO views out the few small windows. We were forbidden by the family from sitting on the lawn above the lake, using any of the lawn furniture or bikes. You can walk to the beach (10 mins), but you have to leave the property to enjoy your morning coffee or have any interaction with the beautiful outdoors

Owner's Response: Actaully the dock and beach are open for guests to enjoy. This year the beach is small with the high rains, but normally there is plenty of beach. There are chairs on the dock to lounge in.
