You will have to experance it yourself to know what i am saying. Bond with your children and grandchildren as you spend time together--------Richard & Katie-------
Dear Mr.Troyer & Family; Just want to say thank You for a wonderful stay at your "Waters Edge" Cabin; We loved all the exquisite decor of each room. We had an invigorating walk around the lake, but the highlight of the trip was the zip line experience. Your cabin is so inviting and it allowed plenty of room for 3 generation to interact.
Thank You again for a very enjoyable weekend. Mr. & Mrs Buck our Kids & GrandKids Too!
We had such a wonderful time at Water's Edge! The owners are just wonderful...very accommodating and friendly. Our 3 children, their spouses, and 2 grandsons were all able to come, and everyone had a great time. It took a day or two to get used to no internet or tv. LOL! Everyone enjoyed fishing, the 2 canoes, the paddle boat, the row boat, the slide on the drifting raft, the zip line, the swing going into the water, the 2 firepits, the volleyball, the games, and the beautiful home. It was so nice to have 4 bedrooms...plus the 'bunk room' in the basement. We had more than enough room! We paid for the rental, and our kids were in charge of the food/meals. The kitchen was perfect for all of meal preparation. We also brought our bicycles and were able to ride on the paved bike trail between Cadillac and Tustin (you have to drive a few miles to get to it, but it was a beautiful ride). One night, we went into Cadillac for a meal, which is only a 15-20 minute drive. There were a ton of restaurants to choose from. We also ventured to a small town about 7 minutes away for ice cream on our last evening at the cabin. All of our kids said they would return in a heartbeat...which we might actually do! Thank you, Richard and Katie, for your wonderful hospitality!
A beautiful artistic house. a mystic private lake and a quiet and peaceful setting made for a wonderful retreat. We loved the convenience of the house, beauty of the setting and hospitality of our hosts. From the youngest kid to the oldest person, all found something to enjoy be they outdoor exploration on a canoe, the Zip line, the vegetable garden, the lumber yard or just sitting on the porch or in front of the warm fire. Thank you so much Katie and Richard for sharing your home and hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay for our family reunion.
My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at Water's Edge for 4 nights. It was amazing. Looking at the pictures we thought it was going to be a great place to have a get away, but it was so much more. The cabin is like no other home we have seen. The workmanship is spectacular. It was so wonderful to be in such beautiful surroundings, both inside and out. The area is quiet, peaceful and lovely to explore. We were even able to do some ice fishing. We were so blessed to be able to have some time to talk with the owners, who are wonderful hosts and have hearts as big as the cabin. :) Thank you so much for building such a beautiful place to allow us to come and be reminded that there is so much to do that doesn't include TV, internet, etc. We haven't talked so much, laughed so much and smiled so much in a very long time. Water's Edge - a blessing wrapped in Tustin, MI. With love, Kim
We went to the The Water's Edge just this past weekend, which was the last weekend in Jan. We went skiing for the day at Caberfae on Friday then headed to the cabin (a short drive). My boys were a little worried about no T.V. and no internet.....let's just say they didn't miss it one min! And, one day into it they were asking when we could come back! Just amazing craftsmanship in this home! Amazing! Every detail thought about! Clean, warm, and friendly place to relax. Had fun putting on our cross country skis on and enjoying the nature and quietness. The downstairs was perfect for the boys! How nice to share such a blessing with everyone. I hope that this place will be available to rent for many years to come, as I can see us wanting to make this a regular tradition! Thank you so much for everything!
My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at The Waters Edge four different times and will continue to go. The home is absolutely wonderful and has everything we need. I cannot think of anything negative to say about my experiences here. The Troyers are outstanding people. So friendly, so helpful and their hospitalilty is like I've never seen before. They go above and beyond always to make sure your stay is the best it can possibly be. We've had the opportunity to sit and talk to them and they are truly great people to know. The house is well taken care of and in a beautiful location. It is such a relaxing getaway that we could never get tired of. Definitely a must if you have not been here yet.
Our family of eight brothers, sisters and inlaws just returned from a wonderful week at The Waters Edge. The home was beautiful and completely equipped with everything we needed. The Troyers were very
hospitalable and were quick to make sure to let us know if we did need anything to contact them and they would make sure it was taken care of and loan us any dishes we needed (no need because it was well
One of our group uses a motorized wheelchair and the ramp and home worked fine for him. Probably a scooter would not work but his motorized wheelchair worked fine.
We ate many meals on the wrap around porch overlooking a beautiful lake and also enjoyed the firepit. Our ages prevented us from taking advantage of the sandvolley ball court, swimming in the lake, boats
or sliding board into the lake:-)
Thank you, Troyers, for a wonderful memory!!!
