The sublet was beautiful and spacious, just as the pictures show. Very comfortable for a family of 5 and could easily accommodate more if needed. The neighborhood had a coffee house across the street for delicious ground Red Eye coffee for the morning and some home cooking at a little place Kenny referred us down the street was a nice treat. Kenny was a gracious host and very accommodating, we got to sit and chat with one of the neighbors one morning, while drinking coffee and soaking in NY. Sitting in the backyard and listening to the kids in the school yard echoing through the neighborhood while I drank coffee (yes I drank a lot of coffee) in the morning was one of the highlights before hitting the subway and the big city. It was loud but peaceful at the same time. I would definitely stay again if I ever get the chance to return to the Big Apple...thank you Kenny!
Quite a nice and well-equipped apartment which mostly corresponded to the description given by the owner. The 2 bedrooms have air conditioning but the living room, where 2 of us slept, isn't air-conditioned apart from a non efficient small fan.
A nice terrace is at the back of the apartment (but we had to weed it at arrival) .
Helpful small grocery store next to the apartment and an only 5 minute walk is necessary to go to the nearest subway station leading to Manhattan in about 20/30 minutes. Quite nice neighbours.
The owner gave clear instructions to reach the apartment and it was easy to pick up keys at owner's home not far from the apartment.
I would recommend this apartment to a group of maximum 6 people rather than eight because the two other beds provided are non convertible sofa in the room which is not air-conditioned.
The apartment is wonderful, everything is ok. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen new, wáter very hot and ....
I recommend Peaches restaurante (in front of the apartment) and Saraghina (2 blocks).
The apartment was very nice and had plenty of space for 5 of us. Short walk to the subway. We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful time visiting New York/Brooklyn. Kenneth's apartment had everything you needed to feel at home and get rejuvenated for the next day. Kenneth thought of everything.. we lacked nothing to enjoy our stay. The patio had a little overgrowth but Kenneth took care of it as soon as we told him .. but really we were out and about so much we came home to crash in bed LOL. The extra surprise was the basement living area. It was nice to stay down there and have a TV while doing laundry. Easy walk to the Subway and all the neighbors where so friendly. Say Hi to your friendly Mr. Brown at the convenient bodega right next door. It ended being so hot and humid when we went but the Apartment had a great cooling system. Just a very lovely time. - Neighborhood might be a little rough for some people, but we didn't have any issues
- If people will sleep in the living room they might hear some cars/ music in the night
- Kitchen walls stained with grease, bathrooms and bedrooms not well maintained (they were sanitary, but looked stained and dirty)
- Bathroom has poor ventilation so smelled musty
- Had trouble getting the apartment, I had originally rented a different place but due to website issues it was given to someone else...The owner did resolve the issue though.
- I called and requested a hair dryer and air mattress before our arrival, however they weren't there...but after another call to the owner we recieved them the next day.
Overall fine but could be better service and better place.
We (me and two kids and pets) were relocated due to a home issue for a week and were happy to find a place that was really convenient to the subway in our neighborhood. Location is great, right next to a corner store, across the street from restaurants and bars. Well appointed with dishes and everything we needed. Appreciated the ability to bring our pets (cat and parakeet) at extra cost. Washer/dryer was super convenient for a family! The amenities are luxurious in comparison to our place - we had 4 TVs! Great option for out of town guests, multiple people, plenty of sleeping space. Thank you for a great stay!
We do not provide tours of my rental apartments. This is, in part, because they are almost always occupied by other guests. Also, for the privacy and security of our guests, we do not disclose the physical address of the location until you have booked the apartment. Brooklyn is very large borough and it is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that this area is right for them and their needs before booking. If you are unfamiliar with the location, the nearest cross-streets are Bainbridge Street and Lewis Avenue. The apartment is 1 and 1/2 blocks away from the A express and C local subway lines at Utica Avenue, and 15 minutes from Manhattan.
