We bought this home as an investment property. The apartment backs up to a beautiful main house. It was much bigger than we needed, but we just couldn't pass it up! It is just magical, beautiful and perfectly located. Everyone that sees it just falls in love.
The back apartment is an fairly new addition to a large main house, which was built in the 1950's. It preserves the character of that era yet adds a wonderful and functional new and separate living space. The view is amazing, you can see St. Edward's University. Also the backyard is just incredible. It is amazing to have so much outside space, so close to downtown Austin. The yard is maintained and landscaped very well so that it may be enjoyed to its fullest.
We were very comfortable and the place was immaculate! Don't know if the owners ordered good weather, but that was perfect too! Thanks Lindsey for such a home away from home stay:)
Hosts are great. Proximity to all that is South Congress. Yard for dog and great park with pool near
Terrific property. Very well maintained. Within walking distance of South Congress activities. Grocery very close. Owners are very accommodating and responsive.
My friend and i stayed and it was the perfect spot to explore soco and all the great restaurants and music.

Went in for early Thanksgiving feast with my daughter to visit my son who lives there. Entertained he and a few friends with a Thanksgiving feast. The place was amazing! Location and surrounding is great! A large time was had by all. We will definitely be back. Recommended for anyone visiting the Austin area. You can't go wrong.
The house is located within walking distance of Austin's famous South Congress Street. This area is fabulous for vintage and antique shopping. The absolute best restaurants in town. First Thursday shopper's paradise on the first Thursday of every month. Live music, trailer park eatery, drinks at the San Jose Hotel, Jo's Coffee Shop. One block away from Big Stacy Community Pool. Lots of sunshine and happiness, folks:)
The property is also within 2 1/2 miles to the the heart of downtown Austin. Tons of nightlife and live music! The South Congress Bridge, home of the bats. Auditorium Shores. Zilker Park just a bit to the east.
