Newly decorated, very clean and completely stocked with everything you need for your perfect Austin vacation.
Open living space with 1 queen bed, 1 bathroom, small dining area and kitchenette.
Beautiful, new construction guest quarters. Very large outdoor area. Common outdoor dining area. Parking available. Washer/dryer, cable and wifi.
This is a wonderful place to feel safe, and have fun.
The back apartment is an fairly new addition to a large main house, which was built in the 1950's. It preserves the character of that era yet adds a wonderful and functional new and separate living space. The backyard is just incredible. It is amazing to have so much outside space, so close to downtown Austin. The yard is maintained and landscaped very well so that it may be enjoyed to its fullest.
I've stayed here at least once before by myself. Maybe twice. GREAT location for hanging in Austin for SoCo or ACL or anything really. Great for a weekend of solitude for single travelers. Only drawback on my last stay... the place was not clean. Animal/human hair on headboard and underneath the sheets. The place was "picked up", but it needed a deep "cleaning/washing". that was really my only complaint. I'm leery about booking again because that is such a subjective variable. But I do love this space. I hope I can return and find it clean.
I stayed in the 1 bedroom suite and found it had all the necessities I needed and the most comfortable bed I have slept on in all of the home rentals I've been to (a lot). I had my dog, a small dachshund/beagle mix that loved playing in the fenced-in yard. There is a small opening near the back of the fence where he slipped through, so a word of caution if you have a dog that likes to escape and run wild. The location is hard to beat, a quiet area that's a quick drive to SoCo, downtown, the airport, and close to the freeway to get really anywhere. Would recommend a stay here and would stay again, perhaps in the larger units. The shared yard is plenty big enough and I was able to get some work done on the patio while my dog enjoyed the yard, there is even a smaller fenced in yard if you want for your small dogs to keep an even more watchful eye on. There is also a fenced-in city dog park just down the road that allows for great running and socialization for your pup. Would recommend whether you're traveling with a dog, another human or humans, or just by yourself!
I was here for a conference in January, but this time I came down for a mid holiday get away and it was PERFECT!! The room is the right size, the bed is comfy, the TV was nice for a relaxing rainy night inside. Lindsey keeps a wonderful place here and it is clean, comfortable, and I'll be back when I get back to Austin again.
We loved staying here, wish it would have been for longer to balance the cleaning fee charges. The unit was clean, cool, great part of town, well appointed and was on a beautiful property with great outdoor space. We took our dogs so it was ideal for us. The cleaning fees associated with our night stay were higher than the nightly rate itself, which was a little shocking but, nonetheless we had a great time and were able to take our dogs. Thank you for a great weekend getaway.
It was very safe, convenient, and the bed was super comfortable!
Spent two nights in this cozy little hideaway and everything was perfect! It is just the right size for a couple or individual. Located in the great Travis Heights neighborhood, it's close to the fun on South Congress,
I found the room clean and bright and especially appreciated the screened windows, as Austin was experiencing a cool front while I was there. Coffeemaker and refrigerator were perfect for having breakfast at home and there was an outdoor seating area to enjoy it in.
Overall: Great location, clean, bright, good linens, updated, wifi works well and plenty of private parking.
The house is located within walking distance of Austin's famous South Congress Street. This area is fabulous for vintage and antique shopping. The absolute best restaurants in town. First Thursday shopper's paradise on the first Thursday of every month. Live music, trailer park eatery, drinks at the San Jose Hotel, Jo's Coffee Shop. One block away from Big Stacy Community Pool. Lots of sunshine and happiness, folks:)
The property is also within 2 1/2 miles to the the heart of downtown Austin. Tons of nightlife and live music! The South Congress Bridge, home of the bats. Auditorium Shores. Zilker Park just a bit to the east.
