About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

This is a two bedroom/ two bath condo located in The Glen on Sugar Mountain. It is within walking distance to ski (not a ski in/ ski out), golf and tennis. We believe this is the best location on Sugar. Condo is an end unit around a beautiful wooded lot with golf course views. This condo is a 5 minute drive to grocery stores, shopping and excellent restaurants.

Relax on the covered porch with a morning cup of coffee or sit by the fireplace with a glass of wine while watching the snow fall. As mentioned there are many restaurants located nearby or fully equipped kitchen for cooking in.

The condo is tastefully decorated and is updated with new appliances, including hardwood flooring and granite countertops. The unit is one floor and bedrooms are roomy with TV's in each room. The first/ master bedroom contains a connecting bathroom and the second bedroom shares full bathroom in hallway. Both bedrooms contain queen size beds. The living room also has a pull out sofa. Perfect for two couples or a small family.

Banner Elk is a 10 minute drive, Blowing Rock is a 25 minute drive, Boone a 15 minute drive, and Linville Falls is 15 minutes away. Hiking, skiing, tennis, golf and shopping are all minutes away. A great central location.

We will be happy to share our favorite list of restaurants and shops upon your reservation.

About The Owner

We purchased this condo in 2007 because we love the area and all the activities it offers. We also have family that owns property on Sugar.

What makes this condo unique

This condo was not purchased with intentions of renting. We have decorated and furnished the condo as our personal home but have decided to rent as we simply live too far to travel to it often - - we hope you'll find this to be your home away from home.

By far the best here .

We loved everything about this place . It was super close to the slopes you could walk . It was quiet . It had a cute bridge and creek off the back porch . We did wash everything before we used them . But the washing machine and dryer worked awesome . The parking spots I wish had lines and which house they went to . We had a neighbor up stars and they had a bunch of people there and took all the front spots to the place so we had to walk a bit with all the ski gear up the hill . But by far amazing . Owner was quick on responses and great to deal with .

Best Rental Experience Ever

  • 5 of 5
Verified Stay

We've stayed in many ski rentals and this is by far the best experience ever. The unit is spacious and well equipped with everything you need to eat, sleep, and relax. The mattresses were comfy, too! I never sleep that well away from my own bed, but here we all slept great. Most importantly, it was CLEAN. I wasn't the least bit wary of using the linens in the unit, lounging on the sofa, or using the facilities. It is a little walk to the slope, about the same distance as the large ski parking lot is from the slopes, but we just drove our ski equipment over, dropped everyone off, and one person took the car back to the condo and strolled on up. FYI, walking back to the condo is downhill, so no problem even if you are carrying skis. Grocery and restaurants were convenient and good. Parking was easy and plentiful at the condo. And, the view was beautiful. We will be returning!

Cozy mountain retreat

We loved our stay at this condo and our visit to Sugar Mountain in December. The condo was just big enough, with two bedrooms and two baths, for four people The kitchen was well equipped for baking and lots of cooking while our teenaged boys hit the slopes every day (it even snowed at the beginning of our trip). It was surprisingly quiet even though the condo is among other units/buildings. The location was perfect -- the boys could walk to the slopes, the main lodge, tubing and ice skating. Also, Beech mountain is just a few miles down the road so we managed to visit Beech for one day as well. Thanks to Brad for such a wonderful, cozy, mountain retreat. We will definitely return next year.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

Our mountain experience was wonderful. The condo was located within a reasonable distance of my attractions. We were able to fly fish, as well as visit Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather's Mountain. The condo was comfortable and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. Mr. Hill was helpful and made us feel at home in the condo.

Pleasant stay on Sugar Mtn

This condo is beautifully equipped - everything you could need - roomy bedrooms and full baths with extra heat, kitchen well-stocked! As with most accommodations, there was one rather big disappointment: We could NOT light the gas logs in the gorgeous stone fireplace/hearth! It looked like the gas pipe was NOT connected to the logs. Other condos were using fireplaces - smoke coming out chimneys. Really missed that expectation! Our unit's Y F was intermittent, but we enjoyed watching cable TV. It is a DOWNSTAIRS unit, condo above. Guests entered the upstairs condo late Friday night, so we heard the walking. No working light bulb on outside porch. Not sure if non-slip strips were in place for outside stairs. Leaves were covering walkway/steps when we arrived - in the dark & raining lightly - so a bit scary. Mattresses were "fair", but I didn't have trouble sleeping and I do have back problems. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed the unit. Nice view!

Owner's Response: Hi Brenda, thank you for the feedback and we are happy you thoroughly enjoyed your stay. We sincerely apologize about the gas logs - we had the pilot light relit just after your stay. When you're back please don't hesitate to call, email or text while you are there so we can correct anything during your stay. With that, we are happy you enjoyed the unit and look forward to having you all back. Kind Regards, Brad
