Thank you for visiting my 'home away' offering. My little farmhouse is near Elkins but only 20 minutes from razorback Stadium and downtown Fayetteville. You can have the best of two worlds, enjoy the fresh air and country atmosphere but you can enjoy city life as well. I can't put all the things you want to know here but I will try to outline a number of things I feel you do want to know when planning your travels. For example, Ride this train excursion thru the Ozark and Boston Mountains on the Arkansas/Missouri Railroad.\ or drive over to the flying Q farm (about 10 minutes) and go for a great trail ride. Call Susan or 479-283-6788. Add War Eagle Fair and Mill and Caverns to your list of things to do. If your coming to U of A events it is about 20 minutes away. A must see is Chrystal Bridges Museum of American Art (about 45 minutes away). It is a visit you will not forget.
We have BABY SITTING service available (by appointment only)The phone number and information is contained in your visitors packet that you will find upon arrival.

You will find upstairs located above the Master bedroom a lounge with TV. satellite, a game table, radio and mini-refrigerator. This also serves as a bedroom with two daybeds.

This is also where you will find a swimming pool and a hot tub perfect for six or eight if you are friendly. The backyard also offers a BBQ grill (charcoal), and fire pit. I am a military brat that was born in Okinawa. I grew up in Fayetteville and went to school here as well. I lived in Houston and worked in construction and real estate but I just had to come 'home' to the beautiful Ozarks and Fayetteville. I have two beautiful kids and live near by..
Patricia purchased this House in 2011
Why Patricia chose Elkins
This house Is very old and it was about to be sold to a developer that wanted to destroy the old log home. I simply could not let that happen so I purchase it and renovated it to a point. I have provided a book at the property for visitors to peruse if they wish. It has a long history to tell.
What makes this House unique
Save history AND the property. It is wonderful to sit on the back deck and smell the fresh air, and watch the birds and have a yard large enough to enjoy. It is close to all activities in the area but not to close. Those of you that like to travel with you dog or cat bring them on. The big backyard is a perfect spot for them to get a little 'playtime' in, We have bags in the house to put your 'pooper Scooper' stuff in. The evenings are quiet and the air is fresh and you just have to sit back on the deck or by the fire pit and take a deep breath...you are now officially in heaven...OK, maybe a little over stated but good land, I feel that way.

Clean and it was so nice to have orange juice, milk, and coffee available..
It was clean and spacious. However, the location is right off the Highway, we could hear traffic going by.
Loved everything about this place!!
We came for the MSU and Ark game and this place was the perfect distance from the campus. We wish we could have stayed a little longer!
We had a great time in this older home decorated with antiques and enjoyed the peaceful outdoors.
We had a lovely time staying in this house and enjoying the property. We wanted a place for the kids to run and play and enjoy their time outdoors. From having a bonfire to sitting in the hot tub, exploring outdoors, this was the perfect place for us! There are many hiking trails and parks in the area also.
Property as described
Nice older home, had everything we needed, and more. Pool and hot tub were nice, easy communication with owner. Would stay again

Lot's of history in this house!
Enjoyed the scenery and the history of the house. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and entertained.
