Shelburne is the perfect home base for your visit to the Burlington and Lake Champlain region. Our fantastic house is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from all traffic. We are less than 1 mile from the charming village of Shelburne; 15 minutes from downtown Burlington and the airport; and 45 minutes to the closest ski resort.
Shelburne attractions include the world-renowned Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Vineyards, and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. There are several outstanding restaurants, art galleries, a wine & coffee shop, bookstore, toy store, and a quintessential Vermont country store. Naturally we also have a neighborhood supermarket, library, and good public transportation, and bikes available for rent.
In the warmer months there are numerous outdoor activities to choose from: the public tennis court and playground is located two blocks away, and just three blocks away is the beginning of fantastic hiking trail that leads down to Lake Champlain. Great hiking trails can also be found at Shelburne Farms and Mt. Philo. The biking is also great in this region, and we provide rental bikes and bike tours out of our rental property (see Great Bike Tours). Many folks also come to Shelburne for the fine boating on Lake Champlain. In the winter we serve as a cozy New England getaway. There are numerous opportunities for snowshoeing, x-country skiing, and sleigh rides, and the ski resorts are a mere 45-minute drive away.

Jessica and Simon have been Innkeepers in Vermont for the last several years. So even though we won't necessarily be here for your stay, we know what it takes to make your home-away-from-home super cozy and welcoming.
Jessica Lacroix purchased this house in 1998
We have a safe and very quiet neighborhood. It is a quick 15-minute walk to the center of Shelburne with all of its fine restaurants, shops, and the famous Shelburne Museum. If you walk/cycle in the other direction (one mile away), then you'll discover the beaches of Lake Champlain along with the exquisite Shelburne Farms (also great for snowshoeing & x-country skiing in winter).
the house was lovely. Owners were very nice and easy to work with. It is in a lovely neighborhood and close to everything, but can't be rowdy after 10 PM as there are neighbors and noise restrictions. (which I can't blame them).
When we go back to Vermont, I would definitely stay here again. The screened porch is awesome.
Visited the Burlington area with extended family. There was plenty of room for 4 adults, 1 teenager & 1 toddler. The bedrooms were all comfortable. We really enjoyed having the game room & screened in porch for hanging out. It was nice having the BBQ for grilling. Beautiful wooded yard. Quiet, family friendly neighborhood with walk to park & very short drive to Shelburne Farms. Jessica was a pleasure to meet & work with - Thank you!
The house is perfect for a Vermont vacation! The owner is very prompt in answering any questions that you might have. Overall, the house is clean, in a quiet area, and has many amenities to it; we absolutely loved the firepit! Hopefully we will be back to Vermont, and if so, we will be hoping to stay here again!
We were in Shelburne for our niece's wedding. The ceremony was held at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The reception was held at Shelburne Farms. This house was located right in between. It worked out perfect. There were pre-wedding activities held in Burlington, which was about 15-20 minutes away. There is a nice trail close by to bike or walk. Playgrounds a short distance. We walked to town for coffee and shopping at the general store.'
The owner, Jessica was great to work with. Highly recommend this home.
This home fit our needs perfectly. It isn't far from Burlington, but it's also close to some great hiking to the south. The owner, Jessica, was amazingly responsive and easy to deal with. She responded to all emails within minutes and answered the phone the few times I called. The house itself is very good as well. The bedrooms are good-sized and the bathrooms are great for the amount of people. The screened in porch on the back and the game room were great too. I'd definitely recommend the location, the owner, and the house. I should also indicate Jessica was amazingly prompt in returning the security deposit, which I appreciated. Five stars!
Many thanks for the lovely stay we had at your home.
This was our seven week old daughter's first road trip along with her two grandmothers and a grandfather and shall remain a fond memory for all of us.
Your well furnished and thoughtfully equipped home has such a cosy and peaceful feel about it and we enjoyed the screened porch and had a lot of fun and bonding over some of the games provided.
Thanks again and we wish you the very best always.
