This Castle is one of my Personal Residents, and by far my favorite. All the wood floors, cabinets, moldings, etc. were handmade and milled on sight, from wood taken from trees of this Forest!. With the four seasons the Forest is constantly ever changing its beauty. The Castle is secluded and private. It is my Place for peace and tranquility...
Wonderful place to Fish, Hike, Mushroom hunt, Rock Hunt, Star gaze, relax, BBQ out, or just be lazy. There is endless opportunities to entertain Yourself, Family, and Friends.
Thanks for letting us stay at The Castle, Mitch. It was a great place for a family reunion.
This was a great experience! We had a lot of fun and there was always something to do there on the grounds. We are looking forward to returning.
Perfect. It brought family and friends back together and let some of us get to know each other much better. Overall great time. Will definitely come back
Everything about the place was better than then photos and the description. The Castle is beautiful and the private lake is awesome. Looks like we found the destination for the annual guys trip.
There were 15 of us and we had a terrific time!
It was the perfect place for our 50th anniversary with all children and grands in attendance for a weekend of swimming, fishing, games, dancing, eating and reveling in being together in such an amazing place. The kitchen was perfect for group working at food prep together. The yard was expansive allowing private times to restore and reflect. The beach and swimming were the big draw for the younger grands which drew all the rest to watch or join in...the water was warm and inviting for kids used to swimming in Lake Michigan. The observatory was a hit too. Everyone got to see three plants up close and much detail on the moon. At night the fireflies in the yard were beautiful. The fishing was a real treat and two meals were enhanced with bluegill and bass. The house was beautifully quirky and had many treasures to behold and be fascinated with. Sleeping was great to a person. The grands loved the "hidden room", became interested in pool playing and getting their turn in the jacuzzi and the massage chair. Getting lost in the house with so many cubby holes and amazing collectibles was a special joy for all there. Thanks, Mitch, for providing the perfect place for our gathering. We would like to offer special praise for Debbie who prepared the property beautifully and escorted us to all its features masterfully...what a terrific person for this job. She clearly loves the place dearly and loves sharing her insights too. SIX STARS is the rating from our clan!
We thought the castle offered a great experience for our family reunion. We took advantage of all of the amenities and loved the serene location. Would definitely recommend to others. We had a great time!
