Our Ocean beach block house escaped any damage from Hurricane Sandy. We were very fortunate. The rental has a full first floor spacious living area with 2 bedrooms in the back, full bath between the bedrooms. Outside shower located on the side of the house. The house sits back from the street offering convenient, safe off street parking. Sitting on the ocean block it is an easy walk to the beach (5 houses away). It is centrally located, with many conveniences a short walk.

Our family has enjoyed our Surf City Beach house for decades. It was my mother's idea to purchase a beach home. She loves the salt air and the beach community of Surf City.

Why Penny chose Surf City
We enjoy the convenient location of the house. The beach is an easy walk up the street, no major roads to cross because it is on the ocean block.
What makes this Bungalow unique
A variety of conveniences are located just around the corner: A bakery, two ice cream shops, miniature golf, a pharmacy, clothing stores, variety store-etc. Making it easy to be entertained even on a cloudy day.

Wonderful place for family vacation at the shore
This is a very nice 2 bedroom first-floor apartment with a spacious living room. Officially sleeps 4 but speak with the landlord if you want additional guests to stay in the living room (for a modest additional fee). Very important: the place was clean and safe. I did have a few suggestions for the owner, and he appreciated the suggestions. Just a few minutes to the beach. Once you are at the beach you can walk a few more minutes (either direction) to be near a lifeguard when you go in the ocean. It was great to swim with four lifeguards on duty. Very quiet dead end street. Just a few minutes from great bagels, 2 places for bike rentals, 5 & 10, weekly Farmer's Market, fish market, small convenience store (with great corn). Three (!!) miniature golf courses within 3 - 15 minute walk). Close to municipal building if you need to borrow a beach wheel chair. Several nearby north-south streets with great lanes for biking. The beach itself was great - clean, deep enough to have plenty of room, without being a big hike to get to the water. There is a full-size supermarket ~ 3 or 4 miles from the apartment.
You supply your own sheets and towels, but it was worth it to save some money.
The owners live upstairs. (The building is a duplex.) They are very friendly and genuinely want you to have a great vacation.
