Michele and Serge, we are Swiss and have found in love since our first visit threre in 1999.
We acquired this piece of land in 2008 and built our dream house one year later. We stay there 2 - 3 times every year and enjoy water activities, nature and the laid back way of living of people of Guanacaste. We are happy if you can enjoy this place as much as we do!
Michele and Serge Bosson purchased this house in 2009
Right next to Playa Negra's surf break. Ideal for families and friends. Birds, butterflies and monkeys can be seen daily from the house. We enjoy the tranquility of the spot, mild climate and love this beach for swimming and surfing. The water temperature is perfect all year round. Very friendly local people.
Generously sized upper deck as a place to relax and spend time with family and friends. Master's bedroom 'open to the wind' allowing you to have a natural sleep. Ecological swimming pool cleaned without using chlorine. Very gentle to the skin. Bodyboards available for guests.
Not only where the owner and his property manager so responsive but they where so helpful! We loved the house, it was perfect in size and privacy. The house was truly a peaceful home in what was a secluded lovely area. The walk to the beach was so close and the people in the town are so nice! I highly recommend hiring the private chef they recommend but note there is an awesome pizza place around the corner. We are planning our next trip and will stay at their home again!
We stayed in Casa Ganesha with 3 other couples and our 2 years old. We all had a good time, the house is superb, the pool is a must have in this warm climate and the ocean is right next door for surfing and sunsets.
We stayed at Casa Genesha with our two younger children (ages 12 and 10), our adult son and his girlfriend (twenty somethings). The house is beautifully designed with a perfect balance of outdoor spaces to enjoy the surrounding environment and comfortable indoor accommodations. Hitting the beach in the morning (short walk) and them relaxing in the pool was great. Playa Negra is a renowned surfing beach, and it lived up to its reputation. Sandy Beach just a minute walk away was great for the non surfers. The small village of Los Pargos was a pleasant surprise with some great dining choices.
There are limitless opportunities for adventure in Costa Rica. We chose to drive a few hours up to the Rincon De La Vieja park for a riding, tubing, and zip lining tour which as superb. A drive south to the surfing outpost of Marbella was also a lot of fun.
Judy the manager was terrific - very friendly and helpful.
This house was perfect for our family!
Our family of 6 just spent two weeks at Casa Ganesha. What a wonderful home and property. The house was as pictured. Our 4 kids all had their own bedroom with air conditioning and we took over the master. No air conditioning but so open and with ceiling fan it really wasn't needed or missed.
Overlooking the ocean, it was nice to hear the crashing waves at night and the howler monkeys in the morning. Lots of wildlife: bird visitors every morning and two iguanas on our roof!
Our kids lived in the pool much of the day but enjoyed their time in the waves boogie boarding and learning to surf.
Good restaurants in the area and being part of the hotel Playa Negra complex made us feel safe (on site security). Being able to run a tab a the restaurant was convenient for beachside pina coladas (and smoothies for the kids).
House is located about 30 minutes south of Tamarindo (great touristy spot) which is nice for a visit, a dinner out or to stock up on groceries. Santa Cruz (also 30 min) was the most reasonable place to pick up groceries. Be sure to check out the cool church tower there!
Know that the weather it is HOT on the west coast during dry season. 33-36 degrees (91-97F) almost every day with high winds some of the time. Landscape is pretty brown. Well worth taking a day or two to see rainforest. We spent one night in Fortuna to see the Arenal Volcano and rainforest. This was the rainforest I had come to see. Rainforest hike and incredible zip lining experience over the canopy. It was lush and green. Great experience but was nice to return to the sun, beach, pool and wonderful home of Casa Ganesha.
Everyone we dealt with through this rental was wonderful! Serge answered emails quickly and answered all our many questions. Judy, the house manager was always available and Jennifer, the housekeeper did a wonderful job. People at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Casa Ganesha is well worth the visit!
My wife and I, and our three adult children, spent two wonderful weeks in this beautiful home in early December. Our kids each had their own private bedroom, all with air-conditioning, which they loved, and my wife and I enjoyed the master bedroom (no a/c, never missed) and slept to the sounds of the ocean and nature. I've never slept so well.
The proximity to the restaurant at Hotel Playa Negra was an added benefit - great food and great people. We all agreed this was our best ever family vacation. Our thanks to Judy and staff for helping make it so.
Myself and 5 others recently rented this house for 5 nights. We loved every minute of it. The house is very private, yet it is amongst other large houses (mostly vacation homes) and near Hotel Playa Negra which is convenient as it has a nice restaurant that we frequented almost daily. During our stay we saw monkeys, iguanas, lots of geckos, a mexican harry porcupine, a few toads and lots of horses (all right on the property). The beach is very close, and we were often the only ones on it, besides a few surfers.
The only issue we had was the fridge was not working properly (wouldn't always stay cold), however the property manager Judy was aware prior to our arrival so there was another small fridge that we could use for perishable items.
I would definitely recommend this property, especially for large groups. It is perfect for 3 couples and a few singles.
We can arrange activities such as yoga, surf, SUP, fishing tours, mountain bike tours, massages on the beach or at the house
