I'm a high end custom furniture, cabinet and home builder who loves to fish! I built this home to serve as the ideal retreat for fisherman and mountain bikers in summer, hunters in fall and skiers in winter.

I built this home in the perfect location, just 10 minutes drive to downtown Bozeman and 20 minutes to the Gallatin River and Bridger Bowl Ski Area, the lodge is secluded, private and serene.
While staying on the property my wife and I hike, ski, bike and fish without ever having to get in a car! Just sitting on the deck in the summer sipping wine and listening to the creek is a nice way to relax at the end of the day.
This house is even more amazing in person. We were very impressed! Perfect location, secluded, but close to town. We enjoyed our stay. We found an amazing local private chef, Hans Friedmann, which we highly recommend!! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, the worst part was having to leave!

Wow, had no idea how spectacular this Lodge would prove to be... from ownership, to amenities, to the setting, our expectations we're wildly exceeded. Spent a week w/ 5 close friends taking advantage of fly-fishing, rafting, ATVing, hiking & this was an ideal stepping off point for all of those activities. The Lodge is unbelievably spacious, very well designed, the pictures don't do this place justice. The on-site trout provided the perfect setting to teach & practice casting and the wood-fired sauna was the perfect way to close the day after our activities. I've used VRBO extensively and this Lodge deserves Hall of Fame status, truly exceptional, we will be back, and not soon enough!
We stayed here for a total of 6 nights. This is a beautiful house, with extensive space, very high ceilings, beautifully and carefully decorated in a rustic style. We loved the sound system. An IPad on the wall that allow you to control music with different volume in the kitchen, living room and patio. The internet worked well. The beds are super comfortable. They even had a crib, which worked perfectly for our 3 y/o. There is a floor heating system in the master bathroom. The lodge has everything you need for a perfect stay. It is 1,5 hours from the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park and it's 20 minutes away from Bozeman airport and probably 10-15 minutes away from downtown Bozeman. We also loved the patio, the pond and the river.... we had the chance to explore the area a little bit and it is so beautiful.
The only issue we had was bugs, they looked like huge ants with wings, they basically invaded the dinner table (not for the food, as we did not leave visible food), there were just around our books, souvenirs he had bought, sweaters, jackets, and only downstairs. No bugs on the bedroom at all. Bugs appeard on the second day ion the evening. Overall we spent a couple of hours for two days trying to clean them up . The owner 's response was great, they came to spray and clean up that same day and the following day. We continue seeing ants in the cooking area, the rest of our stay, but we understand we were in an area where it could be difficult NOT to have bugs. We could handle an ant here and there.
Even with the bug issue we give our stay 5 stars, because it was a wonderful and unforgettable trip.
We stayed in this house five nights and there were five adults and two children. The house is really more of a lodge, the construction is magnificent. Lots of fine details and because it was built so well, it's very quiet. We saw lots of wildlife, including a turkey who seemed very tame. He wandered around the back for a long time. We also saw lots of bunnies, deer, a muskrat in the pond, a kingfisher, and tons of birds. The guys fly fished in the pond but never caught more than about 5" whitefish out it, but had a lot of fun doing it. The grounds are very nice but could use some landscaping. The lawn was mowed but things were very overgrown elsewhere. It looked a bit neglected.
The kitchen was nice and had lots of pots and pans and other utensils you would need to cook meals, which we did almost every night. My only complaint was that there weren't enough bowls, we were constantly having to hand wash them.
The bedrooms again were very quiet, the linens and towels were very nice, however we all agreed that the beds were all too soft and the pillows were equally soft. It would be nice to have a variety of pillows instead of all the same kind (all very flat). But the rooms were decorated nicely and you can't beat the views.
One last note, there's no AC in the house and we were there during a particularly warm week. It's important to close the windows during the day and the blinds, and open them up when it cools down in the evenings. Thank heavens it cools down in the evening!
This house was built to enjoy family and friends. The setting is second to none and provides both plenty of space and a cozy family environment. Had a great weekend and made some wonderful memories.
