We loved our stay at this Ocean Villa! It was our fourth time renting an Ocean Villa, and we found this one to be the most comfortable and nicely updated of the ones we have rented. We enjoyed the private and sunny location on the back row, and ate most of our meals on the patio. The breathtaking beach is still just a very short walk away, and never crowded at this location. If we have the chance to go to Treasure Cay again, we would love to go back to this same villa!
Everybody has heard of the Bahamas. Very few have heard of Abaco, and despite having a beach rated among the 10 most beautiful in the world by National Geographic, pretty much nobody has heard of Treasure Cay. Yes, it's a little hard to get to: one flight per day, so don't miss your connection (we did...it cost us a night in Ft. Lauderdale and carved a day off our vacation). But Treasure Cay is truly a treasure. It has barely changed at all since we first went in 1984, which is a good thing. The changes are positive: supermarket, golf carts are primary mode of transportation, but not at all built up. Bahamians are incredibly friendly, hospitable and helpful.
Our Villa at Ocean Villas, was perfect. Well appointed and maintained. Quiet. Beautiful pool. And steps to the most amazing stretch of sand you might ever see.
Not a lot to do in Treasure Cay, especially by night. But if you go there, be sure to stop by and see Capt. Mark at the marina. He'll show you how you can hand feed pigs, and an hour later hand feed sting rays. Yes, sting rays.
We highly recommend this property.
