I choose Loreto because of its extraordinary beauty (a mix of Arizona and Hawaii), it's terrific community, and uncommon serenity. Alaska whales even like it. They birth their babies in the warm waters!
Beauty, peace, simplicity, safety, and travel value.
This is a three bedroom house near a golf course, pools and a beach. We really enjoyed our week stay. We snorkeled, fished, golfed and much more. Would definitely come back.
We were very happy with our stay in this condo. I was a little disappointed that we did not have a beach view but, was well compensated by the view of the hills and mountains. The villa is located out of town and was great for just relaxation. We found a little cove just passed the inn that was fun for snorkeling. If you are a scuba diver, save your money. There is no reef and not much to see. The villa was furnished with linens except there were no wash cloths and bring your own beach/pool towels. The ground keepers and staff were very friendly. I would stay here again.
This is a beautiful house tucked away from the main street, yet easy walking access to all the amenities of the community as well as nearby resort. Interior layout is great for family or group of adults, plenty of space with nice common areas.
Having rented homes in Loreto Bay in the past, Casa Maria was somewhat of a disappointment. We are a family of 6 including a baby. The dishwasher was out of commission when we arrived and even after it was "repaired" 5 days later, did such a poor job that we had to hand wash the entire stay. As well, with only 6 place settings, we seemed to always be washing dishes!
The air conditioner in one of the downstairs bedrooms was not working upon arrival, fixed a couple of days later, but made for uncomfortable sleeping for a couple of nights.
Dozens of tiny ants crawled on the kitchen counter tops, the window blinds were in terrible condition and would not open, making for a rather dark living room and kitchen.
The Wooden coffee table and two chairs in the viewing tower were falling apart so badly they were not usable. We never used the area as a result.
The upper patio BBQ sink and counter were very dirty, as was the patio itself. We spent part of our first day cleaning that area and the downstairs flooring.
This property needs paint, repairs, some new furniture, and a good cleaning. It is in a great location, however, very spacious, and with some TLC, would be lovely.,
My family and I extended our loreto vacation by renting this beautiful home and in doing so have decided that the next visit to Loreto we will most definitely stay here again. It is close to town, the airport and has a beautiful golf course. We highly recommend this place.
I took my daughter and her family to this house for a week over Christmas. My daughter and her husband had the upstairs bedroom, I shared one of the downstairs bedrooms with my granddaughter and the two boys shared the other room. It was a lovely vacation and everything in the house worked well. The layout was easy, privacy if needed was available, views (sunsets) were gorgeous. We really enjoyed the pool close by and went there everyday for the kids to romp in the water. We used taxis to get into town for shopping and some dining out. Took advantage of kayaks and paddle boarding on the beach and did two day trips: one to an island for snorkeling and seeing seals and one to a mission in the mountains. Both were great days.
We ate at all the restaurants in Loreto Bay Villa where service was fine and food good. Our favorite was the Corazon Cafe for breakfast or lunch.
My only suggestion about the house would be to have twin beds in one of the rooms. The two boys were not happy about sleeping together (16 and 13) but they managed. Twin beds would have been nicer for them.
Otherwise, everything went smoothly and we would recommend the house and the community to anyone looking for a quiet, laid back vacation with enough to do but not too much. It was beautiful there. Thanks.
