Our third year renting here for a month. Kids and grandkids for a week. Grandkids caught their first fish in the canal. Property is as comfortable for two as for ten.
Rentals may look good online but be disappointing in actuality - uncomfortable beds, poorly operating or old appliances, noisy neighborhoods and traffic, hidden charges, cramped quarters, no second bathroom, no shaded areas. We rented this house for a second year because we knew the beds were large and comfortable, the appliances in great condition, three bathrooms, separate guest quarters below, ample shade, pretty view and deck on all sides. no traffic, close to great restaurants and picturesque beaches. For those with a boat it is just three houses away from the Atlantic with dock on the canal.
Our kids have already asked to go back for a third time next year.
My husband and I rented this property for a month spring of 2012. The house was clean, well furnished and comfortable. Our children and grandchildren visited for a week and it accommodated all of us very nicely. Anne's beach, just a couple of miles away, is very shallow and safe for little children and picturesque Our morning routine was a stroll on the boardwalk through the mangroves and wading in the clean, warm water, watching the birds and the kite-boarders. Islamorada Fish company just down the road was a great source of fresh-caught fish and sunset celebrations as well as the sunset meals and happy hour at the Lorelei. The landlord was responsive and easy to deal with.
